Luis Ruelas Charged With WIRETAP and FRAUD In Bombshell Lawsuit
Luis Ruelas and private investigator Bo Dietl are facing a lawsuit for allegedly hacking computers to engage in “harassment and abuse,” against Vanessa Reiser, an ex-fiancée of Teresa Giudice’s husband.
According to court documents, Luis Ruelas, 48, and Bo Dietl, 73, known for their association during The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 13, along with a team of attorneys, are being sued by a separate group of New York-based lawyers. They allege that the duo illegally accessed sensitive information to gather information on Vanessa Reiser.
The suit claims that Luis, Bo Dietl, and their legal representatives acted, “with criminal, reckless, malicious, fraudulent intent devised to defraud,” the plaintiffs and conceal their own “misdeeds” related to their efforts as attorney-client-private investigators to unlawfully obtain personal information.
The attorneys suing Luis and Bo Dietl and their alleged associates further allege that the group used “subterfuge, dissemination, and other fraudulent pretext” to perpetuate what they describe as a campaign of “harassment and abuse” against Luis’ ex-partner, as stated in the lawsuit.
The suit, filed on Monday, contends that they “took [files] both private and professional en masse from those computers illegally accessed by the same.”
Luis, who is married to Real Housewives of New Jersey OG Teresa Giudice, along with Bo Dietl and their legal representatives, are accused of violating the Federal Wiretap Act, the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, and the New Jersey Wiretapping and Electronic Surveillance Control Act. They are being sued for damages.
In October 2023, Vanessa Reiser’s bid for a permanent restraining order against Luis was denied, despite plaintiff Kevin Johnson testifying on her behalf. An insider familiar with the case tells Page Six,
“The plaintiff previously testified under oath in court regarding his own conduct in this matter and was found to be not credible by the trial judge.” The source further alleges, “The court also found that the plaintiff had a bizarre obsession with The Real Housewives of New Jersey. This is clearly an extension of that obsession. The court previously found that neither Bo Dietl nor Luis Ruelas did anything wrong. This is beyond frivolous and will ultimately be dismissed by a court.”
Meanwhile, a source connected to Bo Dietl asserts, “Bo can’t wait to see the evidence that this confused individual has to prove any of what he alleges. You have a better shot of seeing the Tooth Fairy, but won’t, because neither exists.”
During the Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 13 reunion, Rachel Fuda’s husband, John Fuda, accused Luis of hiring Bo Dietl to delve into his past, alleging it was part of a smear campaign to discredit the Fudas, as well as other enemies of Teresa’s like, Margaret Josephs, and estranged sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga. Despite Luis boasting about his close ties with the retired NYPD detective and having information about certain cast members, he has denied orchestrating any such investigation. Similarly, Bo Dietl has refuted any involvement, informing his followers on X (formerly Twitter) in May 2023 that he wasn’t contracted by Luis to probe the RHONJ cast. “I’m glad the truth finally came out — Beau Dietl & Associates is a professional investigation firm that has been in business for over 38 years,” he stated at the time.
“We were never hired by Luis Ruelas to conduct investigations on any of the Real Housewives of New Jersey.”
Regarding Vanessa Reiser, this isn’t the first time Luis has faced legal issues involving her. In April 2021, the therapist took legal action against him when their two-year relationship ended in 2020, alleging he would become enraged if they did not have enough sexual activity. The lawsuit was later settled out of court under undisclosed terms.
Another ex-fiancée, Paula Sanchez, also accused Luis of having an insatiable sexual appetite. Paula Sanchez, who was with the businessman from 2011 to 2018, allegedly felt pressured to engage in sexual activity with Luis multiple times a day, according to a source. “Ninety-nine percent of their fights were because he was complaining that they weren’t having enough sex,” the insider revealed. “If they had sex like four times in one day, there was a complaint.”
Responding to the “sex-obsessed” allegations during the RHONJ Season 13 reunion, Luis confessed to host Andy Cohen, “I can’t have sex four times a day.”
Teresa, 51, and Luis got engaged in Greece in October 2021 after dating for just over one year. Soon after, the couple settled into a $3.35 million Montville, NJ, home with their six combined children. Teresa and Luis tied the knot in August 2022 in a lavish Garden State ceremony filmed for a Bravo wedding special.
