Kylie Kelce Reveals Which Family Members Will MISS Watching Travis Kelce Play In Super Bowl LVIII
Kylie Kelce opens up about the family members who will not be present to watch Travis Kelce take the field in Super Bowl LVIII.
Kylie Kelce is gearing up to support her brother-in-law at the Super Bowl this weekend. In a conversation with PEOPLE, she shared that while some details of their plans remain undecided, she, alongside her husband Jason Kelce, is set to root for his brother, Travis Kelce, and the Kansas City Chiefs as they face off against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday.
Kylie and Jason Kelce have determined that their three daughters — Bennett, who is 11 months old, Elliotte, aged 2½, and Wyatt, 4 — will be staying home to cheer for Uncle Travis, despite the adults of the Kelce family planning to be present at the game.
“They will be at home,” Kylie, who is teaming up with premium chocolate maker Lindt as the brand debuts its first-ever ad that will air nationally during the big game’s first quarter, reveals to PEOPLE, explaining she’d prefer to keep them home “as long as Dad’s not playing.”
“I think it’s a little bit controversial but even during regular season games, I don’t take the girls to every game. They’re still very young,” she reasons. “A stadium with thousands of people can be overwhelming and there’s three of them. It can get hectic, it’s just a lot.”
The mother of three explains that the decision to bring the girls to public events is ultimately made based on what is in their best interest.
“I love to do things that set them up for success. The thought of traveling cross-country with them [while] Jason’s going to be super busy, and putting them in maybe a stressful environment, isn’t ideal,” she explains. “We think they’ll be much, much happier to see Uncle Trav on the TV because it’ll be easier to see him and they can cheer him on that way.”
“The goal of the day is to just cheer on the Chiefs and make sure that we cheer hard enough that Uncle Trav can feel the energy and he can put that right onto the field.”
Kylie is also focusing on the time following the major sporting event. The upcoming weeks will be a period of celebration for the family, marking the birthdays of Bennett, Elliotte, and Kylie.
“There will always be chocolate involved,” the LINDOR superfan laughs. “We have Benny first. And we’ll probably just get her some cake that she can smash into. She hasn’t really gotten the chance to eat sweet treats yet, so it’ll be a funny moment when she finally gets some frosting.”
“Then Ellie has already been talking about what kind of cake she wants and we’re leaning towards a dinosaur cake,” she shares. “It’s not the first dinosaur cake we’ve had in the house, so I think we can do this.”
“The best thing about the LINDOR truffles is that we can have the cake options, but then sprinkle them on the table or put a bowl out of them and I can guarantee you people will be hitting them up by the end of the day.”
The Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers are set to compete in Super Bowl LVIII, which will be broadcast on CBS on February 11 at 6:30 p.m. ET.
