Kroy Biermann believes that his estranged wife, Kim Zolciak, filed for a confidentiality order because she has “a whole lot” to hide, amid their ongoing divorce battle.
“Kroy has absolutely nothing to hide in these divorce proceedings and documents,” an insider told Page Six on Wednesday.
The source claimed that the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum “does a whole lot and she doesn’t want the public to know about it.”
The 45-year-old requested a protective order that would redact key names and financial records contained in divorce documents she submitted to the court, per a TMZ report. Kim stated that she wanted to protect herself as media outlets continued to cover her divorce, noting the ongoing public interest in the duo’s bitter breakup.
One source alleged that Kim’s actions were the result of paranoia, accusing her of leaking the info to the media.
The insider said — “She loves to project. It’s the narcissism.”
Kroy has since filed a response, denying Kim’s confidentiality motion.
The tipster noted — “It’s almost impossible for the proceedings to be kept under confidentiality so if some of it is going to be out then why not all of it? It makes no difference.”
If the court grants the former Bravo star’s motion, a protective order would redact key names and financial details contained in the divorce documents.
The Don’t Be Tardy couple filed for divorce in May, and the pair’s marital ups and downs have been grabbing headlines for months.
Kim, 45, and Kroy, 38, still live together but were ordered to separate areas of the house after a string of domestic disputes. In November, the court ruled that Kim would have exclusive use of the basement and the nanny quarters and Kroy the master bedroom.
The order stated — “Neither party shall enter the other party’s individually awarded space in the marital residence without permission. The parties shall share the common areas of the Marital Residence.”
The judge also ruled that both parties must behave in a civil manner, “especially in the presence of the minor children.” Kim and Kroy were also told not to use their children to relay messages back and forth.
Police have been dispatched to the family’s residence several times amid the estranged couple’s ongoing divorce war.
The pair’s dire financial situation was exposed after Kim and Kroy were slapped with a federal tax lien on April 11, shortly before they announced their decision to split. The IRS accused the pair of owing over a million dollars in back taxes for the years 2013, 2017 and 2018. Kroy was later hit with a lawsuit over outstanding debt racked up in a Bahamas casino and an unpaid bill tied to a car lease. Kim is also being sued by Saks/Capital One for neglecting to pay $150k in credit card debt and fees.
