Kim Zolciak Accuses Kroy Biermann of SELLING Divorce Secrets to the Press!
Kim Zolciak has accused her estranged husband, Kroy Biermann, of selling details pertaining to their ongoing divorce to the press. The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum has filed for a confidentiality order, according to documents obtained by TMZ.
The 45-year-old requested a protective order that would redact key names and financial records contained in divorce documents she submitted to the court. Kim stated that she wanted to protect herself as media outlets continue to cover her divorce, noting the ongoing public interest in the famous couple’s nasty split.
The outlet reported that Kim is claiming that embarrassing information had already leaked, and that Kroy was to blame. The documents state that she had previously begged her estranged husband to agree to a confidentiality order, to no avail. She alleged that his resistance bolstered her claim that he was the person tipping off the press. She is now asking the court to order a mandate that would shut down the information flow of sensitive details pertaining to the messy breakup.
A judge has yet to rule on the case.
The filing comes after Kim asserted in unveiled body cam footage that Kroy had stolen pricey jewelry and designer handbags valued at “hundreds of thousands of dollars.” She and an unidentified female companion visited a police station in early January, to file a complaint against the former NFL player.
In body cam footage obtained by TMZ, the former Bravo star disclosed that she initially discovered that her belongings had disappeared, back in May 2023.
“I’ve asked for them back and he won’t give them back,” she claimed in the video.
Kim, 45, claimed that Kroy, 38, had stashed the valuable items inside a safe located in their master bedroom, an area that had been ordered off-limits by the court.
Kim noted that she had previously called authorities to the family home in an attempt to recover some of her possessions. The police were able to mediate the squabble, which led to Kroy returning the reality star’s comforter, phone charger, medications, and neck cream.
The former reality stars have been hit with multiple lawsuits over the past several months, including a massive tax lien by the IRS. The government agency slapped the couple with a whopping $1,147,834.67 bill shortly before they announced their impending divorce, earlier this year. Kroy was later served with a lawsuit over debt racked up in a Bahamas casino and an outstanding bill tied to a car lease. Kim is also being sued by Saks/Capital One for neglecting to pay $150k in credit card debt and fees. Last month, the former Don’t Be Tardy mom was ordered to pay $230k after she defaulted on a home equity line of credit.
