Andy Cohen PROMISES ‘RHOA’ Season 16 will Be SPICY Amid Rumors of Phaedra Parks’ Return!

Andy Cohen is stirring the pot and setting the stage for a sizzling Season 16 of Real Housewives of Atlanta, teasing fans with the promise of an extra spicy lineup amidst swirling rumors of Phaedra Parks’ dramatic return to the franchise. The Bravo maestro has fans buzzing with anticipation, hinting at what could be the most tantalizing season yet.

Andy Cohen is excited about the upcoming season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta and speaking out. Rumors have been swirling about a potential cast shakeup for months, and things are seemingly heating up in the wake of Kandi Burruss’ departure. 

Cohen teased that fans will be happy with the Season 16 cast, during Monday’s episode of his SiriusXM radio show, Andy Cohen Live.

“I do want to say I’m not announcing anything, but we are on it and the casting is superb,” he said.

The Watch What Happens Live host dished that he had met with the group behind casting, last week. He said that while all agreed that the show took a hit with Kandi’s exit, the future remains bright for the Atlanta franchise. 

Cohen explained — “By the way, now that we know Kandi is leaving, that also allows us to put other puzzle pieces together and figure out, ‘Okay, well, you know, where do we go here?’”

He continued — “And she’s a big loss, but I think, you know, it allows us to figure out the future and I guess this is me just saying I’m very excited about the casting that we have. Very.”

The host took a moment to acknowledge Kandi’s “unbelievable run” on the Bravo series. 

“Incredible run,” he said. “And you think about how much she not only went through on the show, but brought to the show. She wanted to be the best.”

Cohen continued — “She has been one of my favorite people to work with in my whole time. First, as an exec at Bravo, and then as an E.P. of The Housewives and hosting Watch What Happens Live.”

He added — “I love how competitive she is. I love how thoughtful and smart she is. She is so strategic.”

He went on to say that Kandi never hesitated to offer input on the show, over the years. 

“She would call me anytime she had a thought about either the way the show was being marketed or not marketed or about the way that it was being scheduled,” he recalled. “Or she had a lot of really smart opinions and thoughts and she always wanted to know more. ‘What’s your strategy here? What are you thinking?’”

Cohen mentioned the pair’s “great dialogue,” adding — “And then, sometimes at the end of the conversation, she would say, ‘You know what? I’m glad I called. I totally get it now.’ Sometimes she would say, ‘Y’all are wrong,’ and you know, and a lot of times she was right.”

He added that he, Kandi, and Kandi’s husband, Todd Tucker, recently discussed her decision via a phone call. 

“We had a long talk the other day, she and I and Todd on the phone,” Cohen said. “I appreciate her saying, ‘You know what? I think this is just time.’ She knows the show is at a crossroads right now and I don’t even want to talk about where we’re going with it.”

Over the years, Kandi Burruss has consistently expressed her inability to forgive Phaedra Parks for spreading the rumor about Kandi’s alleged sex dungeon. Kandi has also repeatedly mentioned that she would exit Real Housewives of Atlanta if Phaedra were to make a comeback. This stance has led to widespread speculation among fans that the network might be considering Phaedra for a return in Season 16 of RHOA. One fan wrote, “”So Kandi’s finally gone, huh? Seems like Andy’s making room for Phaedra’s return. This season is about to get wild.”

Another person shared, “Just heard Kandi was let go. Looks like the door’s wide open for Phaedra to return. Andy Cohen, you’re playing chess not checkers!”

Someone else commented, “With Kandi out, I’m betting my last dollar that Phaedra’s on her way back. Andy Cohen, you know how to keep us hooked!”

A person noted, “Kandi’s departure has me convinced that Phaedra’s return is imminent. Andy Cohen’s about to stir the pot in a big way on RHOA.”

Another fan wrote, “No more Kandi? That must mean Phaedra’s return is a done deal. Andy Cohen’s always got a surprise up his sleeve for RHOA fans”

RHOA alum, Porsha Williams, is rumored to be making a comeback for Season 16, and Bravo veteran, Kenya Moore, is also expected to be in the mix as production prepares to kick off. Porsha left the show at the conclusion of Season 13, after getting engaged to Simon Guobadia.
