‘Food Network’ Star Duff Goldman Hit By Drunk Driver In Serious Car Wreck!
Food Network star, Duff Goldman, is facing a “long road to recovery” after being injured in a car accident.
Duff revealed that he was hit by a “drunk driver” on his way home from the airport, late Sunday. The 49-year-old took to Instagram to share about his ordeal with fans and followers, posting a photo of his bandaged hand.
Duff explained that his hand was injured in a car wreck, which occurred during a drive home from the airport.
“On my way home from the airport I was thinking about what kind of cake I was going to make for my daughter’s birthday,” the reality star shared. “Next thing I knew I bleeding and surrounded by airbags.”
He continued — “A drunk driver had swerved into my lane on a windy country road. After doing a systems check and finding that my only injury was to my hand, I thanked my lucky stars that I’d still be there to celebrate her third birthday even if I couldn’t make her cake.”
He clarified that he was doing fine but was facing a “long road to recovery.”
“For someone like me who makes a living with my hands you can imagine that this is no joke,” Duff pointed out.
Duff’s business, Charm City Cakes, became famous after Food Network created a show, Ace of Cakes, around the bakery. The reality show aired for ten seasons. Duff went on to appear in cameo roles before landing his own show, “Duff Till Dawn,” on the Food Network. “Buddy vs. Duff” featured Duff competing against “Cake Boss” baker, Buddy Valastro.
Duff has been hosting various baking competitions on Food Network, in recent years. He hosted “Spring Baking Championship,” “Summer Baking Championship,” “Holiday Baking Championship,” and the popular, “Kids Baking Championship,” which he co-hosted alongside Valerie Bertinelli.
Last month, Valerie took to Instagram to announce that she’d been axed from “Kids Baking Championship” due to “budget cuts.” She later addressed the dismissal on her Instagram Stories.
She shared a TikTok video posted by social media personalty, Havva Ramadan, who said—”… It’s not that I don’t believe in karma, it’s that I don’t believe that karma will ever do to you what you did to me.”
Valerie admitted that she was upset by the news, writing—”It really hurt my feelings… it sucks.”
She added — “… Without sounding like a drama queen, the show saved my life.”
Valerie and her ex-husband, Tom Vitale’s divorce was finalized on September 28, 2022.
Valerie explained — “So it really hurts that I won’t be able to go back and see everybody and say, ‘Hey, I made it through.’”
