Luann de Lesseps is on the hunt for love, but has set her sights set on a much younger man.
The Real Housewives of New York City alum appeared on Wednesday’s episode of the “Tamron Hall Show,” where she spoke about her desire to connect with a man in his late 30s or 40s.
“That’s part of ‘life is a cabaret’ — that’s part of my story is we write it ourselves. And I write down what I want to manifest,” she explained. “What I want to manifest is a true partner.”
“So right now, all the 40-year-olds, the 30, 40-year-olds, are up into my stuff, if I can say that,” the cabaret singer said.
She continued — “The 50-year-olds are like, ‘Oh damn, I’m 50. I need a 20-year-old.’”
The former Bravo star added — “The 60-year-olds are a little challenged, you know what I mean, down in that department. And the 70-year-olds just want to have a good time all day long.”
“So it’s really from the 40s … you know, late [30s], 40s, for me, is my sweet spot,” she revealed.
Luann, 58, went on to say that a 48-49 year-old would be her preference, but added that she was open to a “young 50-year-old.”
The Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip personality called herself “kind of a cougar” because she “grew up with six brothers and sisters and four older brothers.”
“So I’m very comfortable with men. I love men, I love flirting,” she said.
Luann, an original RHONY cast member, was married to Count Alexandre de Lesseps when the show debuted, in 2008. The couple split after a 16-year marriage and two children, Victoria, 29, and son Noel, 27.
Luann, who was heartbroken when de Lesseps filed for divorce, told People that she had hoped that their marriage could be saved, despite their private separation. She shared that she received an email from her then-husband, informing her that he was “serious” with another woman.
Luann rebounded with Jacques Azoulay, who was featured alongside the reality star on the Bravo series during their 4-year relationship. The couple split in 2013.
Her rep explained to Bravo at the time — “They are at different points in their life now and have mutually agreed it’s best. Luann is upset, but it’s amicable and they remain friends. Jacques has been a wonderful part of her life.”
In 2016, Luann wed businessman, Tom D’Agostino, after a whirlwind romance, but divorced seven months later. The couple’s tumultuous engagement was featured on RHONY, as was the aftermath of the duo’s split.
A source told Page Six at the time that Tom did not like the reality TV spotlight.
“He used to live this really nice life in the city,” the insider said. “He’s a private person and all of a sudden he was living this crazy celebrity life.”
In 2017, Luann denied that infidelity led to the demise of her marriage, telling the outlet—“It was impossible, we were having problems and we tried really hard to fix things, and we finally came to the conclusion it was just not going to work. It was a tough decision and we are both very sad about it. But the truth is we just weren’t getting along.”
