‘RHOBH’ RECAP: Annemarie Wiley PRAISES Herself for Aiding Crystal During Her Medical Crisis!
Welcome to a drama-filled episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The ladies are in Spain pulled over on the side of the road, due to Crystal Minkoff’s medical emergency.
Crystal begins to cry as the ladies rally around her, as nurse Annamarie checks her out. However, Annemarie doesn’t miss the opportunity throw shade at Crystal while she’s going through this difficult time.
“This is not just like a ‘lay down and drink some ginger ale and walk it off’ kind of situation,” Annemarie told the cameras.
“But like, given Crystal repeatedly insulting and degrading my profession, the irony of what is happening right now is literally shocking,” “She added,” alluding to their ongoing dispute regarding allegations that Annemarie had purportedly presented herself as a doctor rather than a nurse.
Crystal reclined in the sprinter van, patiently awaiting the arrival of medical professionals, while Annemarie asserted, “I don’t want her to get up and get a hypertensive crisis or something and then stroke out … not that that would ever happen!”
Upon the arrival of the ambulance, Crystal conveyed her blood pressure reading to Annemarie, stating, “177 over 108,” who replied, “Yup, there you go.” As paramedics arrive, they take Crystal’s blood pressure and mama’s pressure is 177/108 so they take Crystal to the hospital immediately.
The women bid farewell to Crystal as she heads to the ER. Dorit Kemsley gives Crystal a kiss goodbye, while the rest of the group proceeds to visit a nearby church.
Erika Jayne has already prayed earlier as a flashback shows Erika paying respects as producers show us Erika’s old chapel. Annamarie and Erika discuss being raised Catholic as Garcelle Beauvais worries about Crystal visiting a foreign hospital. The ladies check out the church and Sutton instructs the ladies to light a candle, but Dorit doesn’t want to participate. The ladies begin praying as Dorit educates us on her Jewish heritage and setting intentions. Sutton lights a candle for her dad as Kyle Richards and Garcelle pray. Sutton enjoys praying for her father and believes her father’s in Heaven, despite what she was taught as a Presbyterian.
As the ladies sit in silence, Erika thanks God for the appeal but is still hurt none of the ladies apologized to her. A flashback shows Erika yelling at Crystal to let the legal process play out and Erika admits they hurt her the most, because she cares about them.
While the rest of the ladies are outside, Kyle and Sutton share a sweet moment discussing their loved ones. Sutton tells Kyle about a dream a friend had about her dad being tired and Kyle shares a psychic advised her that Lorene doesn’t understand what happened to her.
Kyle and Sutton become emotional as they apologize to each other for the recent events. They both recognize the significance of their friendship and openly express their affection for one another before sharing a heartfelt hug.
Meanwhile, outside, Sutton updates the other ladies on their next steps and takes a moment to call Crystal to check on her well-being. Fortunately, Crystal is feeling much better and is currently on antibiotics.
As the group continues their journey, they make their way to Old Town, Barcelona, for a lunch outing. Upon their arrival at Poble Espanyol, they are warmly welcomed by their tour guide, who plays a guitar. The guide proceeds to provide the ladies with fascinating insights into the history of Old Town, and the group is eager to delve into the cultural experience.
Dorit begins speaking Spanish as the ladies take in the beautiful sights and Kyle asks for a Hermes shop. Once seated, Sutton points out the pork feet on the menu as the group orders. Annamarie’s husband checks in on her and the ladies laugh at her calling him “daddy.” The group cheers to positive vibes and Kyle’s surprised the dynamics changed between Crystal and Annamarie. Annamarie admits to being hurt by Crystal’s comments and Erika verbalized that their drama isn’t that big of a deal, in hindsight. Annamarie admits Crystal’s wellbeing is all that matters but before the ladies can move on, Garcelle brings up her issues with Dorit.
Garcelle reiterates how Dorit’s word choice triggered her and that she had an out of body experience. Dorit admits she wasn’t thinking about race during their conversation and brings up Garcelle calling Dorit a “Karen.” Garcelle doesn’t think any of the ladies are racist but admits certain things rub her the wrong way. Garcelle tells Dorit she doesn’t understand her walk and Dorit lets Garcelle know she does want to learn. Dorit explains her past and anti-Semitic comments she’s faced in the past. Dorit’s not trying to compare but doesn’t feel Garcelle’s characterization of her was right.
Dorit asks Garcelle to come to her first if she ever offends her and Garcelle thanks Dorit while appreciating the conversation. Kyle thanks Garcelle for allowing the ladies to ask questions and Dorit hugs Garcelle as Sutton explains her friend Trevor will be visiting later. Sutton wants to show the ladies the many aspects of her life, but the group begins getting in Sutton’s butt for not letting them shop. Kyle runs when she see’s a shop and Sutton puts the ladies on a time limit to purchases their goods.
Garcelle wants to shop for jewelry as Dorit shows off her seven new antique fans. Garcelle finds a new piece to buy but Erika helps Garcelle out by paying the bill. Garcelle promises to pay Erika back as Kyle and Dorit struggle to purchase their items on time.
Sutton’s timer goes off and it’s off to the next spot! Back at the villa, the ladies check in on Crystal and ask what happened. Crystal has been diagnosed with High Blood Pressure and is now on medication to manage it. Crystal’s lethargic but feeling better as she thanks the group for their support.
Crystal becomes emotional as she explains how scared she was and Annamarie consoles Crystal. Crystal’s never been faced with her own mortality and appreciates Annamarie being there for her during her worst moment. Crystal plans to take it easy and lay off the alcohol as Kyle tells her “Welcome to the club.” The ladies are getting ready for dinner and Sutton begins talking about Mercury being in Retrograde as Crystal calls Rob Minkoff. Rob asks Crystal how she’s feeling and encourages Crystal to take care of herself and drink plenty of water.
Kyle calls Mauricio Umansky on FaceTime to check on the girls and the dogs, but Mauricio’s connection is spotty. Sutton grabs Merce from her purse as Erika seems under the influence while getting ready. Erika begins wondering if the earrings will be brought up at dinner and admits to being drunk before reviewing her alcohol consumption through the day. Erika hasn’t eaten but is determined to enjoy her night! Trevor arrives with his friends in tow and Sutton greets everyone while explaining how much she’s learned from Trevor. Sutton learned about tea-bagging and producers ask if she’s ever tried it and Sutton answers “I’m not opposed to it.”
Erika drunkly greets Trevor and Dorit notices Erika’s demeanor immediately. Dorit knows Erika’s wasted but keeps a smile as the guest continue mingling. Erika compliments the ladies as Kyle and Annamarie join the party. Erika’s getting more vodka soda as Chef Storm gathers the guest for dinner. Chef Storm shows Garcelle and Crystal a few things as they realize Chef Storm and his dad are in business together. Garcelle jokes about moving to Spain as the chef’s cook in front of everyone. Sutton thinks Chef Storm’s daddy is hot and that Garcelle would win him over because of her big boobs.
Crystal asks Garcelle about her conversation with Dorit, as Erika gives Annamarie props for being a professional earlier. Crystal wants to move forward in her friendship with Annamarie as the chefs show off their skills for the ladies. Everyone sits for dinner as Erika says Crystal’s “back from the dead,” and Dorit asks Trevor about Sutton. Trevor explains Sutton was mean when they first met as producers show us a review of Sutton through the years. Trevor admits Sutton likes to be in control, and that she lived in Brooklyn. Erika drunkly yells “Brooklyn, what a dump” as Dorit shades Sutton in her confessional.
Sutton explains meeting Merce and out of nowhere Erika says, “I know you love Merce, but he’s in a zip lock bag.” The group is stunned as Kyle questions the number of drinks Erika’s had. Dorit agrees with Erika, but Sutton thinks this is how people carry ashes. Sutton reveals Kyle’s mother’s ashes are in the guest bathroom as the group begins eating. Dorit asks Monica where’s she’s from and Erika begins yelling out as Sutton tries to regain control of the dinner. The conversation moves along to a local market as the next friend introduces herself. Erika asks open-ended questions about a guest religion and reviews how interested she is to learn more.
The group is impressed by Trevor’s friends and listens while Erika puts her two cents in. Crystal wonders what’s gotten Erika so enlightened as Garcelle says “Who are you” as Sutton thanks the ladies for coming. Erika says “Merce is in the purse” and the table begins laughing before Sutton finally tells the group she plans to release Merce’s ashes in Spain. The group applaud the chef’s and Garcelle wonders if Chef Storm’s dad is in her bedroom. The group stand up to cheers to a great dinner as Erika saunters off. Crystal brushes her teeth as Kyle looks for snacks while Erika and Garcelle change into comfortable clothes.
Erika’s drunk off her a** as Garcelle asks Erika how she knows so much information. Erika tells the girls about her lust for learning as Trevor calls Sutton a “Goodie too shoes” while complimenting Sutton for coming into her own. Trevor tells Sutton she’s right where she’s supposed to be as the two laugh about Merce being where he needs to be as well.
The next morning, Erika’s head is spinning, and Kyle has to give Erika a rundown of last night’s shenanigans. Crystal’s putting batteries in her machine as Garcelle joins her to check in. Crystal feels much better, and Garcelle educates us on the importance of keeping up with their health.
Crystal checks her blood pressure and is discouraged once she see’s how high it is. Garcelle ensures Crystal that the medicine takes time before discussing Erika’s silliness last night. Sutton brings Kyle the flower of Spain to prepare for an upcoming release ceremony. Sutton wants the ladies to release internalized feelings as Kyle enjoys seeing the spiritual side of Sutton. Dorit checks in on the kids while PK’s out of town again and wishes PK could be with the kid while she’s away. The ladies get glammed as Sutton becomes emotional while looking for her shoe.
The stylist tries to calm Sutton down and Kyle walks in as Sutton begins breaking down. Sutton doesn’t want to open the ashes and admits memories of her dad are beginning to creep up. Sutton admits she lost some of her dad’s ashes and how bad she feels after moving so much. Sutton reflects on her dad’s passing and how Trevor and Merce contacted her during her time of grief. Sutton admits she was angry for so long about her divorce and explains she felt like the emoji with the exploding brain.
Sutton feels alone and is beginning to recognize the suppressed emotions she’s carrying around. Kyle encourages Sutton to keep going as she hugs Sutton as the end credits roll. Whew, so emotional! Be sure to come back next week to see what else happens on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
