Brandi Glanville Responds to Caroline Manzo’s Bombshell Sexual Assault Lawsuit
Brandi Glanville has responded to Caroline Manzo’s bombshell lawsuit against Bravo and Peacock, which accuses the reality star of sexually assaulting the Real Housewives of New Jersey alum while filming The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip in Morocco.
Brandi’s rep told Page Six — “Sadly, Brandi had to wake up to yet another lawsuit that includes defamatory, false accusations about her.”
“While filming, Brandi followed what the producers asked of her, and there was no sexual assault. She is innocent of these absurd accusations that have weighed on her mental and physical health for far too long without a word of support from Peacock, Shed or Bravo.”
The rep said — “This painful storytelling seems endless and needs to stop. She is looking to move on and upward and get her life back.”
Caroline Manzo claimed that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum kissed and groped her without her consent while filming the Peacock spinoff, in January 2023.
The lawsuit claims that Brandi “[mounted] Caroline on the couch holding Caroline down with her body, forcibly squeezed Manzo’s cheeks together and thrust her tongue in Manzo’s mouth, while humping her.”
Caroline, 62, alleged that the incident triggered “dormant and horrific memories” of sexual abuse she experienced as a 7-year-old child.
Caroline also slammed Bravo, Peacock and production company, Shed Media, for encouraging Glanville’s behavior.
Documents state — “Defendants, including Bravo, regularly ply the ‘real Housewives’ cast with alcohol, cause them to become severely intoxicated and then direct, encourage and/or allow them to sexually harass other cast members because that is good for ratings.”
“Caroline Manzo is a victim of those harmful actions.”
Caroline is suing the network, production and show-runners, rather than Brandi, 51, for allegedly pushing her cast mate to produce “sexually offensive and harassing content.”
Caroline’s lawsuit is claiming negligence, sexual harassment, sex/gender discrimination, sexual battery and other causes of action that she alleges violates California and New York laws.
Caroline’s lawyer, Derek Smith, ripped into NBCUniversal in a statement to Page Six.
“We are outraged by Bravo, Peacock and NBC’s conduct and look forward to having the issues decided by a jury. Sexual harassment should never be entertainment!” the attorney stated.
“We believe this case is about the networks selfishly sacrificing the well-being of their talent for ratings and profit,” he elaborated. “Brandi Glanville stated she was simply doing what the producers told her to do.”
Brandi has staunchly denied any wrongdoing, labeling the narrative surrounding the scandal “very unfair.”
Brandi was named in a previous lawsuit filed in October by Marco Vega, the butler who appeared in a previous cycle of the Peacock show. He accused Brandi of ripping off his shirt during a wild cast party. Vega claimed that producers encouraged him to “go over and get the women dancing” after a strip tease show. Vega sued Bravo for sexual abuse and harassment.
A rep told the outlet of the incident — “She has the utmost respect for Marco. Anything that occurred on the set that evening was requested by the producers and approved by Marco Vega himself.”
