Kyle Richards Says She’s Entitled To Half of EVERYTHING Amid Divorce from Mauricio!
Kyle Richards disclosed details about her marriage with Mauricio Umansky, specifically regarding the absence of a prenuptial agreement, in a recent interview with Jeff Lewis. She shared insights into the potential financial implications if they were to ever divorce.
In the interview on January 23, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star delved into various aspects of her relationship with Mauricio Umansky, 53.
Kyle Richards, 55, confirmed that Mauricio was initially hesitant about making their separation public and opened up about the challenges they’ve faced. Kyle also explained the division of assets once they end their marriage, highlighting the financial considerations that would come into play in such a scenario.
“We did not have a prenup. My husband did not have a penny when I married him… He was in the clothing business when I met him making no money. My mom lent us money when were first married. There was one Christmas we didn’t have any money for Christmas presents. My mom gave him money and his grandparents helped us so we built everything together,” Kyle commented on Jeff Lewis Live.
Kyle confidently stated that in the event of a divorce from Mauricio she would be legally entitled to a 50% share of their collective assets.
“He didn’t have any money when I married him and it’s our money. Let’s be very clear about that. It’s very clean cut. Everything is half regardless,” she shared.
Reflecting on the time when their separation became public last summer, Kyle mentioned that Mauricio was initially hesitant about making their breakup known to the public. This revelation sheds light on their private decision-making process during a pivotal moment in their relationship.
Kyle stated, “We’re all in therapy now. It makes it easier for me because also, Mo did not want to say so I was in a weird position. I’m not going to say, ‘Too bad! I’m on a reality show.’ He’s not signed up for the show. He didn’t even want to when it came out that we were having a problem and I put that post on Instagram. He didn’t want me to say we were having a problem.”
“We live together in the same house in different bedrooms,” the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star added. “He spent a lot of time in Aspen recently while I was here, and then I went there for two weeks with our daughters. If you didn’t know us, you would think everything was normal. I’m making dinner, we’re together but we’re in different rooms.”
