Fans continue to call out Real Housewives of Beverly Hills newbie after she was put on blast by The American Society of Anesthesiologists for loftily assessing her co-star, Sutton Stracke’s medical issue.
The nurse anesthetist turned reality star was slammed with backlash after she forced a discussion about Sutton’s struggle with an esophageal stricture. The cast newcomer claimed that she was qualified to speak on the subject because she had gone to medical school, implying the skillset of a doctor.
RHOBH cast member, Crystal Kung Minkoff, also claimed that Annemarie Wiley had personally introduced herself as a doctor, not a nurse.
After two doctors with ties to Bravo schooled Annemarie on social media, The American Society of Anesthesiologists stepped into the controversy, posting an informative graphic on Instagram.
The posted graphic outlined the differences between an anesthesiologist and a nurse anesthetist. The graphic highlighted glaring contrasts in required higher education and clinical training hours.
The organization captioned the post — “The Real Housewives know a fake. Anesthesiologists are medical doctors.”
The institution added — “Title misappropriation has no place in health care.”
Fans took to X to chime in on the development, with one fan writing — “Annemarie is being called out by the American Society of Anesthesiologist’s on Instagram!”
Another fan slammed RHOBH veteran, Kyle Richards, whom many believe encouraged the network to cast Annemarie so she could have an ally in her corner.
The viewer wrote — “Shout-out to Kyle Richards for bringing someone onto the show who not only sucks on TV but who also is probably about to lose her in real life job because she was dumb enough to come in as Kyle’s henchman.”
A third person declared — “How embarrassing.”
Multiple fans called Annemarie’s remarks “offensive,” while one suggested — “She could get her nursing license revoked!”
Earlier this month, Kyle revealed that she regretted bringing a second new face into the “Housewives” mix, her rumored love interest, Morgan Wade.
“She’s an artist, you know? She just wants to make music and all of a sudden she was thrust into this like, world of gossip and tabloids and traveling and having paparazzi take pictures of her,” Kyle said of the country singer, during a recent Amazon Live session.
The 55-year-old reality star explained that Morgan, 29, didn’t like “attention” or being “talked about.”
“She just wants to make music and all of a sudden I had a lot of guilt, you know, that I put her in this position,” she said.
Kyle and Morgan sparked romance rumors in the wake of the RHOBH star’s separation from her husband of 27 years, Mauricio Umansky.
