‘Pawn Stars’ Rick Harrison Breaks Silence After Son Adam’s Death
Rick Harrison broke his silence Friday evening following the sudden death of his son, Adam. The Pawn Stars creator honored his son in a heartfelt tribute on Instagram.
He captioned a photo of himself alongside his son at a bar — “You will always be in my heart! I love you Adam. 💔.”
Rick wore a blue button-down shirt in the image and his smiling son was photographed wearing a black t-shirt and silver necklace.
Adam reportedly died of an overdose at the age of 39, according to a TMZ report.
His family confirmed the sad news, via a statement to Page Six.
The statement read — “Our family is extremely saddened by the death of Adam. We ask for privacy as we grieve his loss.”
Adam’s brother, Corey Harrison, posted a brief sentiment alongside a sweet photo of the brothers happily playing in a bathtub when they were young boys.
He captioned the throwback shot — “Wax wtf I will always love you bubba.”
Rick also shares a college-aged son named Jake with his second wife, Tracy Harrison.
Some famous names shared their sympathies underneath Rick’s post, including former President Donald Trump’s son.
Donald Trump Jr. wrote — “I’m so sorry man.”
Adam had also been noticeably absent from various family photos posted on Rick’s Instagram account.
TMZ confirmed that an investigation by the Las Vegas Metro Police Department was underway.
“Pawn Stars,” which premiered in 2009, follows the Harrison staff as the group operates their family business, Gold & Silver Pawn Shop. The show features various people bringing in items for authentication and a potential sale.
Adam, who never appeared on the popular show, had reportedly walked away from the family business and avoided the spotlight. Corey remains actively involved in the shop and is even featured on Pawn Stars Do America.
