Raquel Leviss Explains How Tom Schwartz’s Helped Hide Her Affair with Tom Sandoval

Raquel Leviss revealed that Tom Schwartz’s apartment became a “safe place” to connect with Tom Sandoval during the Vanderpump Rules duo’s scandalous affair. 

The former Bravo star revealed that she “felt like Sandoval put him [Schwartz] in a bad position where he didn’t have a say” in allowing them to spend time together in his apartment, during Tuesday’s episode of her “Rachel Goes Rogue” podcast. 

She explained — “I know that [Schwartz] tried to set boundaries with Sandoval and not having me there and really encouraging him to break up with Ariana [Madix] and just come clean, but Sandoval didn’t, and he didn’t respect his boundaries.”

Leviss, 29, claimed that Sandoval, 41, “reassured” her that it was fine to meet up at Schwartz’s apartment. Leviss also backed up Schwartz’s claim that his friend told him about their first sexual encounter, back in August 2022. She added that Sandoval was “not happy” when Schwartz revealed the true affair timeline instead of sticking “to the date Sandoval wanted him to.”

Leviss admitted during the Season 10 reunion that Sandoval wanted her to “lie about specific timeline things.”

She said — “[Sandoval] feels like it would be less hurtful to say that this wasn’t going on for so long.”

Sandoval and his girlfriend of nearly a decade, Ariana Madix, split after the affair was exposed, in March 2023. 

Fans questioned Schwartz’s role in the coverup because he had a previous fling with Leviss, and had been wishy washy about his awareness of the situation. 

Sandoval also denied that Schwartz knew about the illicit relationship in his posted social media apology. 

He wrote last March — “Schwartz specifically only found out about this very recently, and most definitely did not condone my actions.”

Schwartz later came clean about his knowledge of the pair’s first hookup, but claimed that he didn’t know that Sandoval and Leviss were “in love” or embroiled in an “emotional affair.”

Leviss took aim at Sandoval during a recent podcast episode, slamming her ex for playing “victim” to “make himself look better.”

“It seemed like he really did flip on me, and he really threw me under the bus, and he was OK with it, and it seemed like he was doing a lot of victim blaming and not taking accountability and owning it and maybe standing up for me a little bit,” Leviss said, during the January 8 episode. 

Leviss left “Vanderpump Rules” after “Scandoval” was hashed out on the Season 10 reunion stage, and has been dishing inside details on her podcast. Sandoval also launched a podcast and returned to the series for Season 11.  

Vanderpump Rules returns to Bravo on January 30.
