Christine Brown Fires Shots at Kody During Her ‘Christine and David’s Wedding’ Special 

Christine fired a subtle shot at ex-husband, Kody Brown, during Sunday’s Sister Wives special, Christine and David’s Wedding. 

Christine, 51, tied the knot with Utah construction executive, David Woolley, 59, on October 7, 2023.

TLC’s written description of the two-part special read — “After years of struggling in her plural marriage to Kody, Christine Brown has met the love of her life — David Woolley. After a year-long courtship, they are getting married.”

“Set against the majestic red rocks of Moab, Utah, Christine gets the big traditional wedding she has always dreamed of having.”

The network released a preview trailer which featured Kody’s ex third wife and her family preparing for the big day. Christine seemingly poked at Kody and their troubled marriage when she noted that the wedding was “everything she’s wanted for so long.”

Christine and Kody announced their split in November 2021, after a 26-year spiritual marriage. Kody’s second wife, Janelle Brown, 54, left the polygamist about a year later, as did his first wife, Meri Brown.

The special featured Janelle, who supported Christine throughout her  breakup, sharing her thoughts on the bride and groom. 

“I’m overwhelmed with happiness,” Janelle said. “She feels loved. She feels seen. It just feels right that David and Christine are getting married.” 

Christine and David met through a dating app and were together for a year before getting hitched. Christine spoke to People about her early interaction with her future husband.   

“I messaged him first and then he responded,” she said. “And at one point he said he liked camping and I was like, ‘That’s not going to work for me then.’ And I threw my phone across my bed and I’m like, ‘Nah.’”

Christine and David hit it off on their first date. 

She said — “I decided we had something, we just clicked really, really well. And then on our second date, I realized that we actually had something really special.” 

The couple went public with their romance in February and David proposed in April. Christine revealed that she accepted with no hesitation.   

She shared — “I’ve never been in love like this before, and the world seems like a brighter place with him in it. I’m so excited for the wonderful adventure we are going to embark on for the rest of our live.” 

Christine’s son, Paedon, walked her halfway down the aisle to her ailing father, who walked her the rest of the way. The lovebirds’ combined 16 grandchildren also participated in the nuptials.   

The couple stood alone with the officiant for the ceremony. 

“The whole like stage area where the arch was and stuff, I just wanted it to be the three of us up there. I just wanted it to be more intimate. I just wanted to stand up there just with David and our officiant, Corbin,” Christine told Parade. 

She gushed — “We felt loved the whole day. I didn’t just feel loved by David. It was by everybody, all of our guests. It was an incredible experience.”

“The wedding was everything I hoped for. It was romantic and fun and exciting. And it was beautiful… Just a magical day.”
