‘RHOBH’ RECAP: Kyle Richards Plans to Move from LA and Marry Morgan Wade!

Welcome to a new episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. As we take in the sights of Los Angeles, Kyle Richards is dancing as she awaits for Crystal Minkoff’s arrival. Kyle has planned a day trip to Ojai for Annamarie Wiley’s birthday and plans to bond with the women without any arguing. Kyle and Crystal discuss footwear as Garcelle Beauvais and Sutton Strake ride together to Kyle’s. Garcelle tells Sutton about her meeting with Dorit Kemsley and that they were able to hash out their issues. Garcelle opts to move past her issues with Dorit before the two beginning discussing the upcoming trip and that Kyle will be enjoying water, while the rest of the ladies indulge in the booze.

Once at Kyle’s, Sutton, and Garcelle compliment Kyle’s décor as Dorit and Annamarie arrive shortly after. Unfortunately, Erika Jayne will be missing out on the trip due to being ill with COVID. The ladies FaceTime Erika to check in on her and wish her a speedy recovery before getting in the van. Garcelle toast to Kyle’s trip and Annamarie’s birthday; as Annamarie comments how sweet that the ladies thought about her in the confessional. Although Annamarie and Sutton got off to a rocky start, Annamarie hopes to go with the flow and have a good time with her new group of friends. Sutton shares her exciting news from her date and lets the ladies know about Steve and that Sutton got asked for a second date.

The ladies cheers to congratulate Sutton and Sutton’s excited for what’s to come. Kyle suggest Sutton sing to Steve before Kyle advises the ladies of the day’s itinerary. As Kyle’s explaining Sutton lets out a huge burp that shocks the crew. After apologizing the ladies arrive at their first destination. Dorit begins speaking Italian to the shop owner and Crystal makes a joke that Dorit will be speaking different languages all day. Meanwhile Kyle, Annamarie, and Garcelle are taking in the sights while preventing Kyle from shopping at every store. The three settle on a small boutique when Annamarie asks whose the biggest shopper of the group.

Kyle takes the cake of course and explains all the ways she burns through her money. After paying for her items, Kyle pretends to get fresh air but actually has the sales people help her take multiple bags to the van. Next the ladies arrive to Casa Loce Farm & Winery for wine tasting. The décor looks beautiful as the ladies marvel at the flowers as they grab food and get seated. Blane (the sommelier) explained the first bottle selection and the ladies cheers while wishing Annamarie a Happy Birthday. Kyle enjoys the seclusion of Ojai and explains she loves the city but being outdoors is what makes her happy. Kyle admits once her youngest daughter Portia graduates, she will be finding a new place to live that’s conducive to her happiness. 

Blane takes the ladies to another table for lunch and start off with marinated mushrooms and spinach. The group enjoys the food as Kyle begins a strange game, in which someone has to lick Crystal’s toes. Sutton willfully gets up to lick Crystal’s toe and this is the fun Kyle that Sutton loves! Kyle calls Sutton a freak as the ladies move onto the next card in which they all have to make their best O face. Garcelle encourages the ladies to pretend its for a Birkin and Dorit gives us her best impression of an orgasm. Garcelle’s enjoying the lightheartedness as Crystal makes an ugly face before Sutton asks a question about men interacting with women on social media.

Kyle admits married men shouldn’t be entertaining women online and admits to having several arguments with Mauricio Umansky about this topic. Kyle reveals these women don’t care that he’s married and will continue talking with him unless he puts his foot down. Sutton asks for clarification as Garcelle and Kyle tell Sutton if they send DM’s or like multiple pictures as the staff brings out a cake for Annamarie. Annamarie blows out the candles and before anyone can take a bite of cake, Kyle asks the ladies if any of them would consider dating a woman. 

The ladies are taken aback as Dorit and Sutton question where this is coming from. Sutton admits her cousin is a lesbian before telling Kyle she wouldn’t date a woman. Garcelle thinks about it from time to time and Kyle admits she would date a woman. Garcelle reminisces about Kyle’s attitude in the past and now questions her openness about dating women. Kyle brings up scissoring and decide to give a presentation with the help of Dorit. The ladies laugh and take pictures as Dorit reads the last card, forcing the ladies to stick their tongue in the person to your left’s mouth. Ew. Sutton licks inside of Dorit’s mouth and seemed to enjoy it as Dorit wipes her mouth excessively. 

Kyle invites the ladies to a Celebration of Life for Lorene, and the women gladly accept while offering condolences as Annamarie thanks everyone for a great trip. At Garcelle’s, she’s cooking as she greets her twins Jaid and Jax. Jax inquires about dinner as Garcelle tries to reveal a confession as Jaid makes himself a bowl of cereal. Once seated, Garcelle admits she’s beginning to feel uneasy with the fact that her boys are growing up and she’ll soon be an empty nester. Jaid wants to leave and doesn’t share the same emotions as Garcelle but Garcelle’s not ready to let her baby’s go. Garcelle brings up Jaid wanting his girlfriend to spend the night and calls Garcelle a hater for not letting Ashlyn spend the night.

Garcelle doesn’t want Jaid having sex and ask what they’ll be doing if Ashlyn spends the night. Jax blurted out that Jaid will be having sex and that prompts mama bear to bring up the sex talk. Jaid and Jax groan in pain as Jax refuses to tell Garcelle anything he knows about sex. Garcelle educates the boys on using protection and respecting consent as Jax lets out a burp. Garcelle’s done and goes back to cooking as Dorit and PK get ready for their marriage counselor. Dorit wants them to conduct the session outside to not disturb the kids and Dorit checks in that PK’s looking forward to the session and thanks him for the participation as the counselor awaits at the door. 

PK said he would answer it but before he could, had to sneak a piece of pizza as Dorit answers the door. Dorit lets Dr. Sarah in and immediately throws PK under the bus in front of the therapist. Dorit’s biggest issue after the break-in, is that PK continued to travel as she struggled with PTSD. A flashback shows Dorit struggles after the burglary and Dorit no longer has the patience for PK. Dorit wants to have this conversation due to feeling that PK isn’t taking her PTSD diagnosis seriously. Dorit didn’t appreciate PK’s surprise during their anniversary and feels PK got offended when she spoke up. PK ask if PTSD requires the client to discuss the trauma right then and there; and before Dr. Sarah can answer, Dorit tells PK his comment is “pretty sh**ty” as Dr. Sarah steps in.

Dr. Sarah reframes PK’s comment to question whether Dorit’s timing was off, and PK admits Dorit’s attitude towards him felt like a “F*** you.” Dr. Sarah educates the couple on PTSD and how anxiety causes the body to feel “on ready” all the time. PK understands elements of PTSD but also admits to feeling some elements of Dorit’s PTSD are obnoxious. A flashback shows Dorit requesting certain things as she prepared for her date with PK. PK doesn’t want Dorit using her PTSD to weaponize every situation and Dorit feels that PK is meaner to her now. 

PK reminisces about meeting Dorit for the first time and lets us know she was not as high maintenance as she acts now. Dorit thinks PK is reaching and explains to PK that she feels like a different person. Dr. Sarah ask Dorit what she’d like PK to do in the future and Dorit explains she’d like PK to comfort her more. Dorit understands this is the time that’s testing their marriage the most and admits PK is coming up short. PK admits it’s a challenge to balance everything out but insinuates it’s difficult for Dorit to admit she’s wrong. PK ask Dorit to be less agitated with him and begins getting emotional as he explains his POV. Dorit also begins crying as she sits closer to PK as she hopes PK gets a better grip on Dorit’s reality. 

PK admits he gets frustrated when Dorit takes a while to answer a question and jokes that Dorit’s really sweet when she’s asleep. The next day Kyle’s she’s getting glammed up as she tells her MUA her struggle with choosing the perfect outfit. Sutton’s getting ready as she hopes her eyelashes stay on all night. Garcelle’s getting pampered as her MUA encourage Garcelle to rally around her friends. Kyle and Teddi are riding together as the pair pick up Morgan Wade for the Celebration of Life event. Kyle lets us know Teddi and Morgan are her ride or dies as Morgan ask to borrow Kyle’s pinky ring. The venue looks amazing as Kyle’s personal assistant explains the itinerary before Kyle puts up her hand to hear Morgan sing onstage. 

Kyle walks away from her PA to listen to Morgan on stage and begins recording Morgan as Kyle reflects on her love for Morgan’s music in her confessional. Kyle goes backstage to work on her speech and soon Morgan joins her. Kyle’s anxious and doesn’t know if she can pull her speech off as her girlfriend encourages her to push through. Guest begin to arrive, and we see Kim Richards arrive as well as Faye Resnick. Kyle takes pictures with her friends as Garcelle ignores Teddi to hug Dorit. Garcelle swipes at a gnat in her confessional as she finally acknowledges Teddi and Teddi responds, “The gnat is back!” Garcelle’s so annoyed with Teddi already as a flashback shows Garcelle calling Teddi a gnat in 2020. 

Annamarie greets Kyle and ask how she’s doing. Kyle admits to being nervous as Dorit and Kyle’s daughters mingle with the crowd. Kyle takes a group picture with her beautiful daughters as she admits it’s nice to have her daughters to lean on during this rough time. Kyle hugs Sugar (Lorene’s Mom) as Sugar cries and Kyle lets Sugar know that Mauricio’s out of town on business. Garcelle notices Mauricio’s absence and tells Kyle to hold it together while questioning whether the pair is trying to hide their problems. Sitting next to Annamarie and Crystal, Garcelle attempts to discuss her boys before Annamarie switches topics to Sutton. 

Annamarie wants more information on Sutton’s small esophagus but before she gets an answer, Garcelle ask her why does she care? Annamarie claims to care because she’s in healthcare but Gizelle questions why Annamarie’s so obsessed with this topic. Annamarie claims she asked co-workers at the hospital about Sutton’s condition and as Crystal rolls her eyes on the side. Annamarie thinks Sutton has an eating disorder and Crystal tries to step in, but Annamarie cuts her off to finish explaining what regurgitation can do to the body. Crystal clarifies if Annamarie is implying that Sutton has an eating disorder and Annamarie denies it! Crystal tries to remind Annamarie of what she said twenty seconds ago but producers run the tape back to show Annamarie insinuating Sutton has an eating disorder. 

Crystal wants Annamarie to own her words and calls Annamarie the biggest gas-lighter she’s ever met. Garcelle goes to get a drink as Kyle mingles with her guest as Sutton talks to Dorit about her parents. Sutton explains that suicide can tear apart a family and confides in Dorit that her family never address her father’s suicide. Dorit listens as Sutton explains in her confessional that her father took his life at sixty-two years old, and the family tried to get him hospitalized twice. Sutton learned to let the hurt go as Garcelle comes up to her Sutton and Dorit to spill the tea on Annamarie. Garcelle lets Sutton know that Annamarie is coming for her and her small esophagus.

Sutton says “Not tonight” as Dorit notices Garcelle lights a match and throws her hands as Sutton tries to defend herself. “Does she know my father committed suicide? Does she know I’m an ambassador for NAMI?” Sutton says as she warns Garcelle to keep Annamarie to “f*** away from me!.” Kyle gets a hug from her daughter and friends as Dorit greets Morgan with a hug. Dorit admits to seeing Morgan at a previous event and putting the pieces together that she and PK haven’t went out with Kyle and Mauricio since they had dinner in London. 

Kyle and Morgan are eating fruit next to each other as the camera zooms in on Kyle feeding Morgan as Dorit looks on from the side. Kyle begins her speech as Lorene’s sister, daughter, and mother look on with sorrow. Kyle encourages everyone to take care of their mental health as Sutton reflects on if things would’ve been different for her dad, if she were at home on time that night. Sutton’s historically late and struggled with the idea she could’ve helped her dad but thanks to therapy; Sutton has learned to forgive herself over something she had no control over. Sutton gets emotional as she realizes her father is proud of her and would be proud of where she is today. 

Kyle tells the crowd how she first met Lorene and how the two got off on a rough start but became inseparable over time. Kyle reveals two days before Lorene took her life, Lorene told Kyle to appreciate her marriage and to be well. Kyle cries as she mentions letting Lorene down as the ladies get emotional at Kyle’s heartfelt speech. Dorit hates seeing Kyle so hurt and wants to be there to support Kyle as much as possible. Kyle introduces Morgan to the stage and Morgan sings one of her songs in honor of Lorene. Kyle realizes how short life is and continues crying as she confirms she wants to be happy and around people who appreciate her. 

Garcelle discussing the finality of losing someone as she reflects on never being able to see her mama again. The crowd gives Morgan an applause as Kyle thanks her guest for coming together to celebrate the life of Lorene. What a sweet episode!
