‘Love & Marriage: Huntsville’ Star Martell Holt ARRESTED On Domestic Violence Charges!
Love & Marriage: Huntsville star Martell Holt has been arrested on charges of domestic violence on Tuesday.
Martell Holt, 42, was taken into custody on Tuesday afternoon in Madison County, Alabama, for allegedly sending harassing communications, as per the online records.
The Huntsville Police Department, responsible for the arrest, confirmed that it was based on a misdemeanor warrant. Take a look at Martell’s mugshot below.
Martell Holt’s prominence in the reality TV world extends beyond Love & Marriage: Huntsville, as he has appeared in 57 episodes of the show. He is also recognized for his past relationship with Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Shereé Whitfield. The two had a relationship in 2022 after meeting through mutual friends but split last summer.
A Huntsville native, Martell pursued his education at Alabama A&M University, graduating in 2008, and later ventured into entrepreneurship. As of now, no additional details regarding his arrest have been disclosed. Martell is a divorced father of five children. His former marriage to Melody Holt fell apart after his notorious affair with his mistress Arionne Curry, which resulted in a love child.
Love & Marriage: Huntsville fans are all too familiar with the heated feud between Melody Holt and Arionne Curry. The contentious relationship between the ladies trace back several years to a devastating affair that shook the very foundation of Melody’s marriage to her ex-husband. The scars of that deeply personal betrayal have lingered, fueling the intense animosity that exists between these two women to this day.
In July 2023, Melody accused Martell of threatening her with revenge porn, which Arionne admitted to viewing and possibly being in possession of a sex tape starring, Martell and Melody. According to Arionne, she was asked to leak the tape under an anonymous account on social media by Martell.
Arionne acknowledges that she has seen the tape, but she firmly denies any involvement in its release, even though she has been approached regarding it.
Melody Holt responded to Arionne via Instagram Live, stating:
“Let me make something very clear, my choosing to be professional, handle my business, ignore you, does not negate the fact that I will whoop your ass. And I mean that with everything in me!”
Melody and Martell officially divorced in March of 2021, the Holts finalized their divorce, with an Alabama judge signing off on the split on the grounds of “incompatibility of temperament.”
Martell has been a regular on all six seasons of Love & Marriage: Huntsville, a show that chronicles the lives of three influential Black couples in Huntsville, Alabama, as they work together on a real estate project, The Comeback Group.
Before his foray into reality TV, Martell worked as a teacher and coach. His professional portfolio includes being an author and CEO of the Holt Brand.
According to county records, Martell was released from jail later that evening at 7:01 pm.
