Kroy Biermann Gave His Kids ‘Time’ For Christmas Unlike Kim Zolciak Who Sold “Purses and Wigs” to Buy Material Things!
Kroy Biermann recently shot down reports that claimed he had followed the lead of his estranged wife, Kim Zolciak, who recently sold personal belongings to buy Christmas gifts for the pair’s children.
“Kroy did not buy gifts, a.k.a, ‘stuff’ for the children,” Kroy’s lawyer, Marlys A. Bergstrom, told Us Weekly on Wednesday, December 27. “He didn’t sell purses, shoes, or wigs to get cash to turn into material goods; no argument, that was all Kim.”
Kroy Biermann’s attorney explained that his client invested time, not money, in the lives of his four kids.
The lawyer continued — “What Kroy did give to his children for Christmas was his time and undivided attention. He took his children to church and then he cooked a big dinner for the family. Kroy gave his children the gift of time and Christmas memories, not just more stuff. Once the children opened the presents, Kim spent the rest of the day in her living space in the basement.”
On Tuesday, December 26, TMZ reported that the divorcing couple was hawking luxury items online in order to bring in extra cash. The outlet claimed that Kroy’s Louis Vuitton luggage and some of Kim’s wigs were put up for sale.
A source told Us Weekly that while Kim simply wanted to “give the kids a good Christmas,” Kroy did not plan to buy the children any gifts. The insider claimed that Kim and the former NFL player “did not buy gifts together for their kids.”
Kim and Kroy share four children, Kroy, 12, Kash, 11, and 10-year-old twins, Kane and Kaia. Kroy adopted Kim’s adult daughters, Brielle, 26, and Ariana, 22, after their 2011 wedding.
“Kroy didn’t buy a single gift for them,” the tipster said. “He either didn’t want to spend the money or didn’t have the money.”
Earlier this month, Kim added some of her husband’s designer items to her online sell-off amid the pair’s ongoing financial woes. The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum took to her Instagram Story to list several of Kroy’s possessions, as the former pro athlete faced a lien filed by his divorce attorney over unpaid legal bills.
Kim also offered her own shoes and bags, priced from $650 to $6,750, including a Chanel bag priced at almost $7k, and a pair of “brand new” Gucci shoes for $1,250. She highlighted other designer footwear, including a couple of pairs of Kroy’s Christian Louboutin shoes, priced at $650.
Kim listed her wigs for thousands, including one blonde ombre lace front wig, priced at $2,250, and another offered at $2,750.
The couple’s on-again-off-again divorce has made headlines for months and has been marked by multiple domestic disputes.
On December 4, Kroy’s lawyer, Marlys A. Bergstrom, filed a lien against his client for outstanding legal bills.
Court documents revealed that Bergstrom’s law firm, Stearns, Montgomery & Proctor, filed a Consent Attorney’s Lien for $801.01 against “all recoverable property” of Kroy’s “upon any judgments and decrees recoverable” in his divorce from the reality star.
