The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum and the ex-NFL star pooled their resources to guarantee their kids wouldn’t miss out on the joy of Christmas presents, insiders revealed to TMZ.
According to the outlet, Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann set aside their “heightened drama” to celebrate together with their family in Georgia. This gesture was particularly meaningful considering the backdrop of their ongoing divorce proceedings, which began in May and have since been a subject of public fascination.
The specifics of the gifts for their four shared children – Kroy Jr. (KJ), 12, Kash, 11, and 10-year-old twins Kaia and Kane – remain a mystery. While Kim kept a low profile on social media during the holiday, Biermann shared a cheerful photo on Instagram with their kids. The family photo, capturing a moment of togetherness in front of their Christmas tree, came with a caption from the proud father, “Merry Christmas from the Biermann’s!!🎄 (-2 😢).” He referred to Brielle, 26, and Ariana, 22, Kim’s daughters from a previous relationship, who were notably absent in the snapshot.
Biermann, 38, mentioned his time with his adopted daughters at church, regretting not having a photo to share. His caption, filled with love and pride, read, “I couldn’t be a more proud father of you 2 and the littles! ❤️ Got to do better at remembering to capture more pictures. 😂”
Ariana, meanwhile, shared her own festive moments on social media. Videos posted by her showed a cozy Christmas morning, unwrapping gifts with her boyfriend, Hudson McLeroy, in their apartment. This Christmas marks a significant milestone for the Zolciak-Biermann family, being the first since the initiation of Kim and Kroy’s divorce.
The couple’s relationship difficulties have been in the spotlight, paralleled by their financial struggles. In October, they listed their lavish Georgia mansion for $6 million, only to slash the price by half a million dollars two months later. Their financial woes don’t end there; they are embroiled in legal battles over unpaid bills.
The duo has been slammed with multiple lawsuits over the past several months, including a massive tax lien by the IRS. The government agency slapped the couple with a whopping $1,147,834.67 bill shortly before they announced their breakup, earlier this year. Kroy was later hit with a lawsuit over debt racked up in a Bahamas casino and an outstanding bill tied to a car lease. Kim is also being sued by Saks/Capital One for neglecting to pay $150k in credit card debt and fees. Last month, the former “Don’t Be Tardy” mom was ordered to pay $230k after she defaulted on a home equity line of credit.
The duo’s Georgia home was forced into foreclosure in February after they defaulted on a $1.6 million loan they secured in 2016. The scheduled auction was canceled one month later. On October 11, the estate faced foreclosure once again, with an auction set by Truist Bank for November 7.
A Fulton County court later granted the couple an extension on their foreclosure date, pushing the scheduled auction to to January 11.
In the midst of these trying times, Kim has continued to hustle. She has been actively selling luxury items belonging to herself, her daughter Brielle, and even her estranged husband.
She added some of Kroy’s designer items to her online sell-off amid the estranged couple’s ongoing financial crisis. The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum took to her Instagram Story to list several of Kroy Biermann’s possessions, as the ex NFL player faced a lien filed by his divorce attorney, over unpaid legal bills.
This Christmas, however, was about setting aside the troubles and focusing on family.
