‘RHOBH’ RECAP: Kyle Replaces Dorit with Morgan Wade and Garcelle Checks Dorit’s Privilege!
Welcome to a new episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. With the sun shining over the city, Crystal Minkoff’s outside playing with her daughter Zoe, as Garcelle Beauvais chats with her sons about their plans for the summer. Erika Jayne’s having a photoshoot for her Vegas residency, while Sutton Strake meets up with her date Sal for dinner.
After getting seated, Sutton thinks Sal has potential and is looking forward to getting to know him. Sal talks about himself as Sutton discusses the humidity in Georgia. We find out Sal sweats a lot, is a mamma’s boy, and tells Sutton about traveling to Las Vegas with his mother. Apparently Sal and his mother are really close and Sutton’s beginning to see the red flags.
Sutton’s proud of herself for staying on the date but I think it’s clear Sal won’t be getting a second date. A few nights later, Kyle Richards is eating grabs as Annamarie Wiley stops by. After getting snipped by Kyle’s dog, Annamarie laughs it off as Dorit Kemsley arrives. After small talk about fruit, Kyle brings up the drama between Sutton and Annamarie. Annamarie doesn’t think she said anything wrong as Dorit explains what Sutton told the ladies over the years. Dorit questions Sutton eating bacon and moves on to asking what the ladies did this week. Kyle admits she’s producing a new project and Dorit jokes by saying “Do you have four more tattoos?” and to Dorit’s surprise, Kyle actually does.
Kyle explains showing Mauricio the tattoos and that she tattooed her initial on Morgan Wade’s body. Dorit asks Kyle what’s going on and questions Kyle’s friendship with Morgan in her confessional. Dorit and Kyle go back and forth about Morgan before Dorit questions if Kyle would out a “D” on her body. Kyle laughs it off, but I can tell Dorit feels a type of way about Morgan and Kyle’s relationship.
The next day, Garcelle’s meeting with Erika and Sutton at the Classy Cat. After ordering, Erika walks in and Erika reflects on her growing relationship with Garcelle. A flashback shows Erika apologizing to Garcelle for last year and now Erika looks forward to moving past their issues.
Erika’s excited for her upcoming residency and we see the moment Erika shares the news with the other ladies. Erika doesn’t know if a residency will solve all of her problems but feels she’s on the right track. Garcelle teases another friend coming to dinner and Erika thought it was Denise Richards at first but Erika’s relieved to see it’s just Sutton. Garcelle plays mediator as Erika and Sutton laugh while Erika brings up a southern magazine, while shading Denise and suggesting the group pray for her. Erika wants Denise to drop whatever issue she has with her, and Garcelle clarified that after meeting with Denise — she understands that Denise’s problem is aimed at Erika’s comments about Denise’s children having threesomes.
Erika clears up what she said, and Garcelle admits she thinks Denise is holding onto the issue and wanted to let it out. Erika admits the public scrutiny has took a toll on her and no longer has the energy to entertain Denise’s problems. Garcelle questions what will Taco Tuesday at Crystal’s will look like but Erika’s not worried and is ready for whatever walks through the door.
The ladies continue dinner and seem to be bonding over drinks and good food. The three become tipsy and out of no where Erika says, “Did you know it cost a $7 for a naked bundle of Denise Richards on Only Fans?” Garcelle and Sutton laugh and before we know it Garcelle slips and tells Erika that Sutton made out with her driver.
Erika calls Sutton a b**** for holding out on this information and Sutton tells Garcelle she’ll kill her as Garcelle almost pees her pants. At Dorit’s, she’s getting ready for Taco Tuesday as Kyle FaceTime’s Annamarie while she’s in Hawaii. Kyle feels Annamarie in on the guest list as Sutton tells her make-up team about Erika’s comment about Denise and proceeds to go on Only Fans to leave Denise a tip. Even the MUA are questioning Denise’s cheap fee as Sutton prepares to see Denise naked. To Sutton’s surprise, she see’s something but ditches her efforts before seeing anything else. That night Garcelle picks up Denise and the two look beautiful as Garcelle preps Denise for Erika’s presence and tells Denise what Erika said at dinner.
In her confessional, Garcelle feels that it’s only right to tell Denise what Erika said and hopes the two can resolve things to move on. As Dorit and Kyle ride together, Dorit continues questioning Kyle about not disclosing her new tattoo and even shades Kyle by saying “I guess I have to put your initial on my body for you to actually care.” Kyle laughs at Dorit’s comment but Dorit’s actually sad about the distance between her and Kyle since Kyle had welcome Morgan Wade into her life. In her confessional, Dorit tells us that she and Kyle used to travel together all the time and now since Morgan’s in the picture; she’s not invited to anymore trips. However, in Kyle’s confessional she admits to being disappointed in Dorit for not having her back against Kathy Hilton.
A flashback shows Dorit trying to interject during the reunion and Kyle remembers Dorit changing her tune around the group. Dorit tries to get more information about Kyle’s friendship and Kyle wonders what difference it makes while explaining no one understands her friendship with Morgan. Dorit thinks Kyle’s morphing into Morgan and instead of defending herself, Kyle just laughs it off. Dorit’s beginning to wonder if she’s being replaced but puts the conversation on hold as Crystal prepares for Taco Tuesday. Rob Minkoff’s eating a few scraps as Nia (Crystal’s friend) arrives first. Crystal enjoys serving dinner and is excited to fill up her guest! As people begin to arrive, Crystal greets her friends and Dorit helps adjust Crystal’s dress.
Dorit’s surprised at how many friends Crystal has and admits in her confessional that it’s nice to see she has friends minus the fourteen. Nia asks the ladies about Crystal’s birthday party and soon the ladies discuss Magic Mike as we find out Nia’s married to comedian Bill Burr. Dorit begins telling Nia about Sutton’s meltdown in Vegas and tries to bait Nia to ask Sutton the reason behind the chaos. Nia quickly backs out as Kyle and Dorit laugh off their failed attempt to start mess. Garcelle and Denise arrive as Crystal introduces the group to her friends. Crystal has the ladies go outside for drinks and although the ladies are cold, they do what Crystal says as Erika arrives.
Erika’s cold and irritable so all she wants to do is eat her tacos as Denise talks to Dorit about the dinner party. Denise claims she had a fever, but Dorit knows better as Sutton arrives with a gift in hand. Sutton makes her way outdoors as Denise complains about the weather and Dorit complains about Sutton’s dress. Erika questions if Sutton’s cold and finally Crystal allows the ladies to go inside to warm up. As food is being served, Kim Richards stops by and greets Crystal before greeting the rest of the ladies. Everything looks amazing and as they fix their plates, Sutton ensures Dorit won’t be hiring Avi as we get a flashback of Avi flirting with Dorit. Dorit asks Sutton when she’s going to stop accusing her of things she’s not doing and Sutton fires right back and wonders when Dorit will stop insinuating Sutton puts vodka in her coffee.
A week earlier, we see Crystal telling Sutton what Dorit said. Dorit claims she doesn’t know what Sutton puts in her coffee and Sutton fires back that she doesn’t drink coffee. The two pretend to be good but there’s a whole lotta tension in this room. Dorit clarifies she didn’t accuse Sutton of anything and Erika changes subjects by explaining how much fun they had with Garcelle at dinner. Dorit begins to question the fun that was had and before we know it Erika spills the beans about Sutton kissing her driver. Dorit’s shocked and we can see the wheels beginning to turn in her pretty head. Erika noticed her voice getting louder as Dorit asks for more details about Sutton’s make out session.
Sutton tries to downplay her kiss as Dorit encourages Sutton to make the most of her experience. Kyle’s fidgeting with Kim’s scarf and pulls out a napkin. Kyle’s wondering what else Kim’s hiding as Dorit explains to Garcelle how annoyed she is. Dorit thinks Crystal is beginning to stir sh** up to cause an issue between Sutton and Dorit. Garcelle’s surprised Crystal’s actually participating while Dorit questions Crystal’s motives. A flashback shows Crystal’s misinformation about Sutton’s “dark” comments and now Dorit questions Crystal’s balance in the group. Garcelle wants to air everything out and Dorit’s on board before commenting Lucy (The housekeeper) on the food. Sutton tells the girls about her horse getting a new stable and Kim mentions her ability to talk to animals also.
Nia hesitantly asks Sutton about what happened in Las Vegas and surprisingly Sutton has no issue telling Nia that she didn’t appreciate seeing legs spread eagle. A flashback shows Sutton’s disgust in Las Vegas as Denise wonders who went onstage. Sutton reiterates what happened as Nia catches Dorit’s attention to get in on Sutton’s story. Sutton wonders why she has to explain herself and begins comparing her preferences to someone who doesn’t like mustard. Sutton admits she wasn’t in a good head space and feels bad she ruined the night while sarcastically thanking Nia for asking about it. Garcelle asks Nia how she knew about Las Vegas and Nia tells the truth without dropping names.
Sutton says, “Well it’s not Disneyland” to Nia’s comments about Las Vegas being the happiest place on earth and Sutton begins questioning who Nia is and why this conversation is relevant to their festivities. Sutton admits that she was uncomfortable and didn’t want to be there but Dorit chimes in to let everyone know Sutton went to the show with money to spend. A flashback shows Sutton holding up all 50 dollar bills and Sutton tries to downplay it, but Dorit isn’t letting up. Dorit tells everyone that Sutton made out with her driver and Garcelle quickly tries to shut it down by telling Dorit to “hold on a minute.”
Garcelle mentions the conversation was between she, Erika, and Sutton, and now feels Dorit’s bringing it up to embarrass Sutton. Dorit mentions the conversation they had less than twenty minutes ago, but Sutton tells Dorit it’s unfair to equate the two incidents. As the other ladies soak up the tea, Sutton explains that she became friends with her driver and doesn’t regret what happened because the kiss was sweet, and she enjoyed it. Dorit tries to clarify her point, but Sutton won’t let up and continues asking Dorit “Why’d you bring it up?” Dorit tries to explain and ends up yelling at Sutton, as Erika and Kyle ear hustle from the kitchen. Sutton and Dorit continue going back and forth as Dorit questions Sutton’s being a prude in her confessional.
As the rest of the ladies come in the living room, Garcelle mentions Dorit trying to embarrass Sutton again and Sutton also agrees. Dorit wants to be given the benefit of doubt and questions why Erika was allowed to scream Sutton’s business out, but Dorit can’t. Dorit questions if Garcelle truly likes her as Garcelle apologizes to Sutton for bringing it up. Dorit tries to get the group to continue having a good time but Garcelle’s not letting up and soon Dorit accuses Garcelle of “attacking” her. Garcelle rolls her eyes as she defends herself while telling Dorit to calm down. Dorit feels attacked and Garcelle thinks Dorit lives inside a bubble while questioning Dorit’s “wokeness.”
For the record, Garcelle makes it clear she didn’t attack Dorit and instead they were having a conversation. Dorit felt that Garcelle was suggesting she hurt Sutton purposefully and soon the two go back and forth about the correct word to use. Garcelle doesn’t know the best word to use but tells Dorit that due to her “privilege,” she can’t accept that word. The ladies are intrigued by Garcelle’s bluntness and Dorit’s taken aback while asking for clarification. Erika speaks up and explains that since Dorit’s white, certain words can mean different things coming from her.
Dorit apologizes to Garcelle immediately and offers to have dinner privately to discuss things, but Garcelle says “No, I’m good.” Dorit tries to apologize again but Garcelle replies “I’m not here to educate you … I’m not,” as the rest of the ladies await Dorit’s response. Dorit turns away from Garcelle in defeat as she replies, “Well I think you have” and Garcelle says, “That’s on you” as Dorit says “okay” and the room falls into awkward silence. Dorit doesn’t know where all of this is coming from and tries to defend herself in her confessional as Kim attempts to lighten the mood by complimenting their meal. Crystal asks, “Does anyone want to download?” and Denise takes her cue to join in.
Denise asks Dorit for clarification and after realizing Dorit’s joke didn’t land. Dorit changes topics to confront Crystal about running her mouth to Sutton. A flashback shows Dorit admitting she wouldn’t be surprised if Sutton put vodka in her coffee and Crystal’s happy to address this. Crystal doesn’t want to get it wrong and stumbles on her words, but Dorit states Crystal may have already messed things up. Sutton tries to clear things up by making a speech about moving forward while suggesting the rest of the ladies to carry on. Kyle impersonates Sutton in her confessional as Dorit tries to apologize. Denise thinks Dorit’s apology sounds condescending and soon Dorit changes topics to Erika and Denise’s drama.
Dorit asks Denise if she’s cleared things up with Erika and both ladies admit they haven’t talked as Erika calls Dorit a pot stirrer. Dorit asks Denise if she has anything she’d like to say, and Denise shoots the same question back at Dorit before asking what’s going on. Denise laughs, drinks her tea while asking Dorit to take things down a notch. Garcelle laughs as Dorit exits stage left before she embarrasses herself any further. Denise noticed Dorit didn’t say goodbye before approaching the conversation with Erika. Erika doesn’t want to have the conversation but tells Denise she had a chance to speak to her at Kyle’s dinner party. Erika mentions Denise calling her a b**** and thinks Denise came in with an agenda. Erika apologized to Denise already but later found out from Kyle that Denise called Erika a “Dumb Bot C***.”
Denise denies calls Erika names and a flashback shows Denise calling Erika an a**hole at Kyle’s dinner party. Kyle doesn’t know how she got Denise’s statement confused as Erika continues explaining her POV. Denise thinks Erika wants to talk on her terms, but Erika feels the same about Denise before eventually asking Denise what she’s upset about. Denise didn’t appreciate Erika’s comment about her daughters possibly engaging in threesomes and thinks Erika’s comment was inappropriate. Erika reiterates what she meant but Denise isn’t letting up and Erika reveals Denise’s oldest daughter is on Only Fans. Denise calls Erika’s statement a low-blow as Erika starts tearing Denise up about slurring her words and being unable to put a sentence together.
Erika’s hot and continues ripping into Denise as Denise says “Oh wow” on the couch. Erika tells Denise “You think I’m not going to go as low as I f***ing can? Have you met me?” as Denise calls Erika a mean woman. Erika tells Denise she asked for it and that she shouldn’t have came into Kyle’s house acting like a f***ing b****. Denise calls Erika the same in return as Erika mentions no one remembers what Denise’s problem is. Denise calls Erika a mean woman again as Erika asks Denise whose more profitable between she and her daughter Sammie and we’re hit with the dreaded: To Be Continued. Be sure to come back after the holidays for a new episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!
