Bravo Reinstates ‘RHONY’ Alum Ramona Singer After N-Word Scandal

Ramona Singer joined her former Real Housewives of New York City cast mates at a party celebrating the premiere of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy, on Tuesday.

Ramona Singer

Ramona, 67, reunited with co-stars, Luann de Lesseps, 58, Sonja Morgan, 60, Dorinda Medley, 59, Kelly Bensimon, 55, and Kristen Taekman, 46, only weeks after she was cut from the BravoCon lineup amid accusations of racist behavior that supposedly occurred during Season 13 production.

Ramona posted a photo snapped at the event on her Instagram Story on December 12. The Bravo veteran wore a blue silk dress and tan heels as she posed alongside Dorinda Medley and a Big Apple themed cake. Dorinda rocked a black dress and silver heels as the iconic cast marked their return to reality TV.

The ladies gathered around the cake in another pic, as shared on Instagram fan account “Comments by Bravo.” The post’s caption read —  “The girls are back in St. Barths this Thursday on Peacock.”

Another festive shot featured Ramona, Dorinda and Sonja, who wore a one shoulder silver dress and black heels.

Ramona’s scheduled appearance at BravoCon was canceled after she tried to brush off her use of the N-word, an incident first reported in a November  Vanity Fair exposé. The former Bravo star tried to explain herself via a text message to Page Six, writing—“And the word I used was ’NWord Not n-g.”

Luann de Lesseps kicked co-star, Eboni K. Williams, the first black RHONY “Housewife,” out of her house during a cast gathering featured during Season 13.

Singer purportedly reacted to the drama by stating — “This is why we shouldn’t have black people on the show.” She denied the accusation at the time, telling Page Six that the statement was a “terrible lie.”

“It’s very disappointing that even after my name was cleared that people still want to slander me,” she said.

Ramona’s alleged remark was revisited in the Vanity Fair piece, but the mag stated that she supposedly added — “This is gonna ruin our show.”

Ramona shot down the claim a second time, commenting—“In fact, I supported adding diverse cast members well before before [sic] Eboni was added.”

Eboni K. Williams

Bravo fired the entire cast, which included Ramona, Eboni, Luann, Sonja and Leah McSweeney, and canceled the Season 13 reunion amid the controversy and crashed ratings. Ramona went on to star in two seasons of the Peacock spinoff, seemingly maintaining a positive relationship with the network.

Real Housewives Of New York

Luann, Sonja, Dorinda, Kelly, and Kristen all appeared at BravoCon to promote the new season of RHUGT, without Ramona in the mix.

Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy begins streaming on Thursday, December 14 on Peacock.
