Vicki Gunvalson Speculates She’s Not Returning to ‘RHOC’ and Fans Are Devasted!

It appears that Vicki Gunvalson’s “Housewives” journey has come to an end.

On Wednesday, Vicki confirmed that she had not received a full-time contract for Season 18 of the Real Housewives of Orange County. The OG of the OC confirmed that she would not appear as a “friend” on the upcoming season.

“I went on as good faith thinking I would show the network that I love them, I love filming, my value. But if I go back [as a ‘friend’], it looks thirsty,” she told Page Six at the premiere of Season 2 of “Hollywood Houselift with Jeff Lewis.”

Vicki called her 13-season run “a good journey,” but scoffed, “I don’t understand what they’re doing.”

Bravo has yet to announce the Season 18 cast, but Vicki informed the outlet that “all the calls were done last week.”

Fans of the OG were heartbroken and took to social media to react to the news. One person wrote, “Absolutely heartbroken to hear Vicki might not be coming back. She’s the heart of the show! #RHOC won’t be the same without her.”

Another shared, “Can’t believe Vicki might not return to RHOC. She’s an original and irreplaceable. Really going to miss her presence on the show.”

Someone else commented, “This news about Vicki possibly not returning to ‘RHOC’ has ruined my day. She’s always been my favorite housewife.”

“Devastated is an understatement. Vicki not being on ‘RHOC’ is like the show losing its soul. She brought so much drama and fun.” Another fan wrote.

Vicki’s remarks followed Taylor Armstrong’s announcement that she would not be returning as a cast “friend,” after appearing for only one season.

“Loved spending time with the ladies of #RHOC and thankful I got to give the viewers an update on my life. I’ve made some real friendships that I cherish. Wishing the ladies all the best for season 18,” Taylor, a “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum, wrote on Instagram, last month.

Fans expect to see the return of the Season 17 cast, Heather Dubrow, Shannon Beador, Emily Simpson, Gina Kirschenheiter, Jennifer Pedranti and Tamra Judge, but have also been wondering about what new faces could be joining the group.

Kelly Dodd

Tamra was fired alongside Vicki after Season 14, but made a comeback after being sidelined for two years.

Shannon’s September DUI/hit-and-run arrest sparked a firestorm of online chatter leading into filming season.

The 59-year-old maintained a good relationship with the network and even  attended BravoCon in November, where she addressed the drunken episode.

“I went to a behavioral wellness place with an alcohol component in it, and I’m eliminating and have eliminated a lot of the toxic and unhealthy things in my life,” she told E! News at the Las Vegas fan event. “So, I’m really looking forward to moving on, and I’m excited about it.”

Fans also want to know if throwback RHOC star, Alexis Bellino, might be asked to rejoin the cast, as she is currently dating Shannon’s ex-boyfriend, John Janssen.

Shannon Beador

Vicki confirmed that she did not know if Bellino had been asked back. She recently referred to the new couple as “ridiculous and thirsty,” in a sharp  Instagram comment.

Alexis and John are officially dating but have not made the jump to girlfriend/boyfriend status, according to a recent report by Page Six

Alexis Bellino

A source told the outlet that the two were “still getting to know each other,” while “enjoying” their time together. A previous report stated that Alexis and John were “quickly becoming friends” after connecting at a group dinner in November.
