The Man Monica Garcia Sacrificed Her Family and Rich Lifestyle For Finally Exposed!

The identity of Monica Garcia’s brother-in-law, the man with whom she shared a scandalous 18-month long affair, has been revealed. 

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City newbie disclosed the sordid affair to her co-stars on camera, adding that the scandal led to her excommunication from the Mormon church. The Bravo star clarified that the brother-in-law in question was her now ex-husband’s sister’s husband.

The U.S. Sun reports that Monica’s former paramour is 42-year-old fire chief, Jared Taylor. Jared lives in Ogden, Utah. He graduated from Weber State’s Law Enforcement Academy in May 2019, according to a Weber Fire District Facebook post. He was later promoted and is currently the Division Chief for Weber Fire District.

Jared, a Utah native, earned a degree in Business Administration and Management at Weber State University. He previously operated his own business, a freight-hauling company called Taylor’s Turf. 

Jared has four kids, as does Monica. 

Monica spilled the tea at the beginning of the season during a shopping excursion with co-star, Heather Gay. She shocked fans when she bluntly stated that she “f**ked” her brother-in-law for 18 months.  

She explained that she confessed the affair to her church’s bishop because she “felt guilty.” Monica shared that she was “shunned from everyone and literally unwelcome everywhere,” describing the ordeal as “truly one of the worst experiences of my life.”

Jared purportedly skirted accountability and remained in the church. 

Monica’s affair with her brother-in-law began in 2010-2011, according to an insider. The outlet’s source claimed that Jared pursued Monica as they “both were unhappy in their marriages.” 

The tipster said — “They were in love and even talked future plans.”

”Monica always gushed about Jared, but ultimately decided to not keep it a secret and told family and her church,” the insider added. “Once the secret was out, her life turned upside down.”

Monica filed for divorce from her husband in late December 2013, citing irreconcilable differences. The exes had been raising four daughters together, Bri, 18, Jaidyn, 13; West, 7 and 6-year-old Kendall. Monica was awarded sole legal and physical custody of the four girls when the divorce was finalized in October. 

Monica recently revealed that the biological father of her eldest daughter, Bri, left when she was one year old. 

Monica’s ex-husband, Mike, is living in another state, far from Bravo cameras. Monica’s brother-in-law’s wife filed for divorce from Jared in October 2014. The split was finalized in March 2015. He went on to remarry, but divorced in November 2022. 

Monica and Heather’s relationship took a hit ahead of the Season 4 premiere, as Heather’s business, Beauty Lab and Laser LLC, filed a lawsuit against the Bravo newcomer over missed payments. Monica reportedly agreed to a months-long arrangement to pay for a series of “cosmetic injections,” according to Beauty Lab’s legal team. The lawsuit claimed that Monica made an initial payment of $449 and agreed to subsequent monthly installments of $200 for ten months. Beauty Lab contends that Monica defaulted on the payments following her initial installment.

Monica’s lawyers filed a counterclaim in September, asserting that no further payments were made because the injections Monica received were improperly administered and failed to produce the promised results. Her legal team claimed that Beauty Lab’s complaint stemmed from Heather’s personal grudge against her co-star — not from any legitimate legal position.
