‘RHOBH’ RECAP: Kyle Richards Tries to GASLIGHT Sutton and Gets A Dose of Her Own Medicine!

Welcome back to a brand new episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills! We’re continuing to stir the pot at Kyle Richards’ dinner as she and Sutton Strake go head to head over Kyle’s alleged marital issues. Sutton wants Kyle to be honest about what’s happening in her personal life, whereas Kyle wants Sutton to mind her own business! After answering questions about her new wedding band, Kyle tells the group she decided to stop drinking because the alcohol causes depressive symptoms. Faye Resnick attempts to stick up for her friend, but Sutton isn’t letting the mouse go! The table’s silent as Kyle tells everyone she can’t afford to be depressed right now and Sutton’s having the realization that her and Kyle’s friendship is going up in smoke.

The two rehash their heated conversation at Sutton’s house and Sutton apologizes but little is resolved as Kyle says “anyway,” and picks up her glass for a sip. The chef comes out with their first entrée as Garcelle Beauvais asks Annemarie Wiley about herself. Kyle asks Annemarie if her husband buys her any gifts and soon Garcelle begins explaining her experience finding out her ex-husband cheated. Luckily, there’s life after divorce and Cynthia Bailey appreciates being single and seeing relationships that have a true bond. Erika Jayne wants a movie style love affair and Sutton believes Erika already had that with Tom Girardi. Denise Richards continues acting strange as Erika explains to the table what she wants in her next love. 

Dorit Kemsley welcomes Denise back to the group and asks if she missed everyone. Denise says she did but then turns her attention towards Erika and asks her what happened between them. Denise wants to know what she did to Erika, but Erika isn’t clear what Denise is asking her. The table’s silent as Denise tells Erika she used to be kind but after slurring her words, the ladies begin to think Denise is on something other than weed. Denise keeps trying to pull information out of Erika but neither one is budging. Erika asks what specific thing happened and when asked for an example; Denise says, “Go watch the show.” 

Crystal Minkoff is laughing in her confessional and at this point this conversation is comical. Garcelle’s surprised at Erika’s calmness as Denise tells Erika that she was being a b**** to her. Erika’s confused and high but apologizes to Denise in hopes of shutting her up. Denise takes the apology with no issue as Faye compliments the dinner. Cynthia, Justin, and Erika are all high as Sutton pulls out a joint to light up at the table. Kyle gave Sutton permission and I’m over here loving this Sutton. Erika’s loving it as Crystal calls Sutton a contradiction in her confessional. “There are some things about me that yall don’t know,” Sutton says as dessert comes out and Garcelle runs to the bathroom. 

Denise pulls Kyle to the side for a private chat and Denise compliments Kyle’s house as Kyle wonders what’s wrong with her. Denise whispers about Erika not understanding her and doesn’t believe Erika didn’t know, while calling her a “dumb ass.” Sutton tells Denise she doesn’t know what she’s talking about as Dorit and Annamarie join the ladies. Garcelle checks everyone’s high as Dorit tells Denise her jacket is upside down. “Don’t do this, stop it” Denise says as Dorit tries to assist her friend. “Calm down,” Dorit says as Denise continues smiling at her. Denise has Kyle walk her to the door and Denise calls Erika an “A**hole” before getting in the car. 

Erika takes the incident in stride as Annemarie chats with the ladies and Dorit checks in on Kyle. Dorit tells Kyle about Sutton’s comment a few minutes ago, where Sutton said, “In denial somewhere.” Kyle immediately turns to Sutton and asks her what she’s in denial about and Sutton responds, “I don’t know.” Kyle wants to know what Sutton knows and Sutton tells Kyle she doesn’t know anything, but she feels something is off. Kyle begins yelling and tells Sutton to say what she thinks as Cynthia stands in between them. Sutton clarifies that she asked Kyle about her household and Kyle begins pacing back and forth as the rest of the ladies try to figure out what’s happening. 

Kyle tells Annemarie that it doesn’t make sense, and Erika comes to help Kyle before Sutton and the rest of the ladies finish the conversation in the kitchen. Sutton tells Kyle she believes her but Kyle’s not letting this accusation go. Kyle doesn’t believe it was the right approach to ask her about the marriage but soon Sutton confronts Kyle about telling the ladies she doesn’t eat. Sutton has an esophagus disorder and wants to know why Kyle’s using her illness as a distraction. Sutton’s sick of fighting with Kyle and says to her “You already lost two sisters; do you really want to lose another one?”

Kyle tells Sutton to “F*** off,” and Sutton drops a bomb. She explains how Kathy Hilton was upset with her for not defending Kathy in the press. Sutton called and told Kyle what happened and told Kyle she understood what she went through. Kyle wonders if Sutton knew then why was she so quiet during last year’s reunion? Kyle’s had enough and walks away as Sutton tries to defend herself to the other ladies. Kyle wants everyone to leave, and Erika thinks Sutton and the rest of the ladies are scared of Kathy because of the access she can provide them. Sutton may say she doesn’t kiss Kathy’s butt, but it’s clear there’s a little puckering going on. 

Erika goes to check on Kyle as the rest of the ladies look on awkwardly in the kitchen. Erika apologizes to Kyle for how the night went down as the rest of the ladies leave and Kyle checks in on her staff. Kyle’s emotional as she goes upstairs to turn in for the night and the next day Dorit’s having breakfast with her children, while trying to teach them some etiquette skills. Erika’s chatting with her manager as Kyle takes a run around the neighborhood and right to Annemarie’s house. Annemarie’s surprised Kyle actually came over and the two grab some treats before heading outside to play pickleball. Kyle thinks she and Annemarie have a lot in common and enjoys getting to know her. 

Kyle’s intimidated by Annemarie’s height but doesn’t let that stop her from playing her best. The two play as Annemarie tells us about her childhood in her confessional. Annemarie used to play sports and explains how she got her start. Annemarie doesn’t think it’s a coincidence she married a football player and after the game Kyle questions why Sutton’s coming for her marriage. Annemarie noticed Sutton’s hesitation speaking up but Kyle wonders why Garcelle included herself in this mess. Annemarie’s excited to get to know the rest of the ladies and we switch to Crystal as she meets Sutton, Garcelle, and Denise at a pizzeria. After pleasantries, Garcelle comments on Denise’s fresh look as the ladies order drinks. 

Garcelle brings up a commercial she saw that had something to do with amputation and the ladies immediately switch the subject to keep from barffing. The conversations shifts to Kyle’s dinner party and Denise thinks Kyle was being judgemental. Denise begins to question why Kyle stopped drinking and the ladies begin reminiscing about Kyle’s party days. Crystal wonders why Kyle pointed things out to Sutton and not Erika; but holds Sutton accountable by telling her that she was wrong for the comment about Kyle’s sisters. Meanwhile, Kyle’s telling Annemarie that Sutton used her sisters to intentionally hurt her and now questions whether the two can move on from this. 

Kyle thinks Sutton should focus on herself and begins to tell Annemarie all about Sutton’s esophagus issue. Annemarie’s curious what’s going on and wonders if it hurts when Sutton eats. Kyle laughs at Annemarie’s many questions as Annemarie discuss working as an anesthesiologist. The two laugh as Sutton and Crystal asks Denise why she went after Erika.

Denise brings up the dinner party conversation in 2019, when the ladies were discussing threesomes. Garcelle asks Denise what she’d like Erika to say, and Denise just wanted Erika to acknowledge her feelings. Denise finishes by calling Erika a b*** as we head over to Dorit’s house. 

Dorit and PK are bickering about making each other a drink and head upstairs so Dorit can catch PK up on Kyle’s party. Dorit tells PK that something’s definitely up with Kyle and Mauricio and that Kyle’s not opening up. PK thinks Mauricio’s busy with work and encourages Dorit to be there for Kyle if she is having a hard time. In her confessional, Dorit’s not surprised Kyle responded the way she did but wants to wait for Kyle to tell her. Switching gears Dorit and PK discuss the possibility of their kids going to private school or being homeschooled. During the pandemic, Dorit had the teachers come to the house and thinks that’s a better alternative. 

Dorit wants PK to listen to what the children have to say but PK’s putting his foot down and wants the kids to reenroll in private school. PK wants the kids to experience real life and Dorit wants PK to be around more. In her confessional, Dorit reveals when PK goes on trips that she feels like a single mom. Dorit doesn’t think PK knows what the children need and tries to compromise with PK to no avail. PK tells Dorit she has a lot of fear inside of her that’s irrational and if he thinks she’s going down the wrong road, he’ll tell her. PK’s heard Dorit tell their son that when he goes to college that she’ll move on campus and that he’ll never get married. Dorit laughs but PK notices the co-dependency Dorit has with the children. 

Dorit doesn’t think PK understands the turmoil the break in did to her mental state and tells PK that what’s best for the kids is what’s at the forefront of her mind. That evening Erika meets up with her creative director (Mikey) and the two begin discussing Erika getting back on stage. Erika misses pleases the crowd and tells producers the only time she feels present is when she’s on stage. After ordering, Mikey tells Erika they need the right room and capacity to do her think and that possibly a residency in Las Vegas may be the trick. Erika would love a residency in Vegas and Mikey encourages Erika to go all in for this new pursuit. Erika’s all in as the two toast to what’s to come.

The next day, Kyle and Dorit are at the park ready for a hike and before getting started Dorit checks if Kyle has a wedding band. The two discuss how insane the dinner was as Kyle mentions she has plenty of jewelry that Sutton’s never seen. Dorit wanted to know what Sutton was saying and the two agree that Sutton insinuating Kyle is hiding something; is a low blow.

Then, Kim Richards walks up and begins filling us in on what she’s been doing after the pandemic. Kyle tells us about Kim isolating herself during the pandemic and how being creative got her out of that dark space. Kyle asks Kim if she’s seen Pheonix yet and a flashback shows Kyle being upset about being cut out of Paris’s life. 

Kyle found out Paris had her son online and since she and Kathy aren’t in a good place, then she doesn’t have a close relationship with her nieces. Kim and Kyle take a picture together and Kim becomes emotional as she mentions how short life can be. Kim and Kyle hug before Kyle questions how her and Kathy’s relationship got so bad.

Kim’s trying to remain neutral but says it’s possible for everyone to learn a lesson from this. Kyle’s sad that she’s missing out on her nephews life but wonders if stepping back would be the right thing to do; but Kim warns Kyle not to step back for too long, to avoid building resentment.
