Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann Celebrate their Foreclosure Extension
Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann took a break from their nasty, on-again-off-again divorce long enough to enjoy a hibachi lunch date at Kani, in Duluth, Georgia.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum posted a snapchat that featured an exchange between the two after their hibachi chef presented them with a heart-shaped pile of rice.
“Why don’t you do that, Kroy?” Kim asked her estranged husband, who was out of frame but could be heard speaking in the background.
Kroy replied — “I do, just not when you’re around.”
The lighthearted lunch date comes only a week after a conflict between Kim and Kroy became so heated that one of their minor children called the police.
Last week, TMZ reported that law enforcement arrived at the couple’s Georgia mansion after receiving a call about their “extremely loud” fight. The outlet stated that three officers and a supervisor settled the dispute after calming both sides down. Police sources confirmed that one of the estranged couple’s minor kids made the phone call.
In a follow-up report, TMZ stated that the explosive argument stemmed from the couple’s dire financial situation. The report added that the pair had been squabbling for a week before things finally boiled over.
Kim, 45, and Kroy, 38, still live under the same roof but in separate areas of their Alpharetta, Georgia home, which is currently on the market for $6 million. Last month, the court ruled that Kim would have exclusive use of the basement and the nanny quarters and Kroy the master bedroom.
The order stated — “Neither party shall enter the other party’s individually awarded space in the marital residence without permission. The parties shall share the common areas of the Marital Residence.”
The judge also ruled that both parties “shall civilly towards one another – especially in the presence of the minor children.”
The duo has been slammed with multiple lawsuits over the past several months, including a massive tax lien by the IRS. The government agency slapped the couple with a whopping $1,147,834.67 bill shortly before they announced their breakup, earlier this year. Kroy was later hit with a lawsuit over debt racked up in a Bahamas casino and an outstanding bill tied to a car lease. Kim is also being sued by Saks/Capital One for neglecting to pay $150k in credit card debt and fees. Last month, the former “Don’t Be Tardy” mom was ordered to pay $230k after she defaulted on a home equity line of credit.
Last month the pair celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary with a cozy shared dinner. Kim continued to confuse her followers when she changed her Instagram handle from @kimzolciak to @kimzbiermann after publicly ditching “Biermann” in June.
The Fulton County court granted the couple an extension on their foreclosure date of their Georgia home. Initially set for auction on November 8, it has been rescheduled to January 11, allowing the couple’s children to enjoy a merry Christmas.
