The Family Chantel: Pedro Sends Chantel’s Family A VooDoo Package From the Dominican Republic
Chantel Everett accuses her ex, Pedro Jimeno, and his family of practicing witchcraft after receiving a mysterious package at her door in the upcoming episode of The Family Chantel.
In a preview clip from Monday’s episode, Chantel receives an unexpected delivery from her ex’s native Dominican Republic, in the wake of the pair’s nasty divorce.
The couple’s breakup exploded as the season wrapped last year. Cameras picked back up nine months after Pedro made the first move to end the marriage. Pedro and Chantel made a joint decision to split in May 2022. He said that their marriage had become “irretrievably broken.”
Chantel later cited adultery as her reason for the divorce, claiming that domestic violence had occurred.
Pedro took off for the Dominican Republic for a family visit after the couple finalized their divorce. The exes remained in touch as they navigated the joint sale of their Georgia home.
Chantel reacts to the surprise delivery in the sneak peek preview clip.
“When I opened the box, I have my jaw on the floor because it’s things that I have never seen before,” she says. “There’s this three-horned prong thing inside the box. It’s red and black. It looks very demonic. And then there’s a coffin in there. I know that this came from Pedro’s family.”
Chantel, who is clearly rattled, notes that the package smells bad, which leads to a decision to burn the contents.
“When someone devises to curse a person or people using black magic, it’s very serious,” Chantel’s mom, Karen, explains. “And I just know this has to be something from Pedro’s fishy witches.”
Chantel’s brother, River, burns the package, noting — “One thing we don’t do, we don’t mess around with none of this stuff.”
Chantel travels to Santo Domingo later in the season, to have it out with Pedro and his family. The trailer revealed her screaming at her ex — “You know what you did, Pedro. You were having sex with another woman!”
Chantel described the finale season of the TLC show as “explosive,” in a recent interview with ET.
“This is going to be the most dramatic season ever,” she said. “I mean, I guess it makes sense because it’s sort of the finale of the whole series. Listen, I feel like ‘The Family Chantel’ has been following the decline of my marriage. So this is the end of it. So naturally, it will be explosive.”
