Meri Brown GOES OFF After Christine Revealed Kody DESTROYED His Wedding Ring After Meeting Robyn!

Meri Brown chokes up during the second part of the “Sister Wives: One on One” special, after learning that Christine Brown dished a personal anecdote about Kody’s original wedding ring with host, Sukanya Krishnan. 

“I am extremely frustrated right now. Beyond,” Meri says in a preview for Sunday’s episode. “After we did the taping for the 1-on-1 interviews with Suki, I found out that a story was brought up about me that is not a story that I have ever shared publicly.”

Meri becomes emotional as she explains—“That is my story to tell when, where and how I want to. And somebody else took it upon themselves to tell that story. And now I’m being forced to talk about it. I’m not happy about it.”

Christine, 51, spilled details behind Kody and Meri’s estranged relationship ahead of the pair’s split, as she revealed the messy history of her ex’s  wedding ring.  

Meri, 52, noticed that Kody was wearing a new ring that appeared to be from his fourth wife, Robyn Brown, during an episode that aired in October.  

“There’s a backstory here. I don’t feel like it’s all the way my place, but here we are,” Christine says, adding that both Kody and Meri had a wedding ring after tying the knot, in 1990.

Christine explained that Kody wore the ring for years, but that it disappeared after Robyn entered the scene. Meri and Kody legally divorced in 2014, so Kody could wed Robyn and adopt her three children from a previous marriage. Meri and Kody were spiritually tied until they decided to part ways, in January.

“He melted down the ring, saved the gold, saved the diamonds,” Christine revealed in Sunday’s episode. “Well, Meri found out she’s like, ‘Well, where’s my ring? You don’t wear it anymore.’ He’s like, ‘I melted it down’. Just like that. He’s like, ‘I didn’t want Meri to have control over me and power over me anymore.’”

Christine shared that all four wives gifted Kody with a band called a Claddagh ring, a piece of jewelry that symbolizes love, loyalty and friendship. Kody, Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn all wore the Celtic accessory for years, until Kody and Christine made the decision to part ways, in November 2021. Janelle split from the patriarch a year later and Meri followed suit, in January. 

Kody was sporting a new ring as he filmed Season 18, in 2022. 

Meri commented on Kody’s “different” ring during the October episode, but did not expect Christine to share the emotional backstory with viewers. 

“It was not Christine’s business to tell,” Meri declares. “If I wanted to have shared that story in the last 13 years in a public way, I would have done that.”
