Dr. Heavenly Kimes admitted that she played a role in landing LaTeasha “Sweet Tea” Lunceford a spot on the Married to Medicine cast, and Quad Webb reacted to the confession during a Sunday appearance on Watch What Happens Live.
Quad weighed in while responding to a series of rapid-fire questions about the newest M2M cast member, who recently wed Quad’s ex-husband, Dr. Gregory Lunceford. Quad theorized that LaTeasha would quickly get pregnant to nail down a second season, before shading her personal style.
“I did not like it,” Quad said, when asked how she felt about Heavenly’s involvement in the casting decision. “Heavenly and I talk a lot and I think that just should’ve been a conversation maybe her and I should have had. But Heavenly is about what’s good for the show and she thought that bringing the girl on the show would be good for the show and she knows that if the girl ever tries me, she’s done.”
Quad assured viewers that she was “really happy” for the newlyweds, despite her past experience as Gregory’s wife.
She said — “I hope they do well and have an everlasting relationship.”
Quad appeared on the chat show alongside Heavenly, who expressed doubt that Gregory and LaTeasha would go the distance. Quad guessed that the duo would make it to the reunion before announcing a pregnancy.
“I think they’re gonna try diligently to work on that. They want another season so they’re gonna try hard,” Quad speculated.
Quad threw shade at the couple’s nuptials, commenting that she “didn’t see that much at the wedding.” She went on to say that LaTeasha is a better match for her ex because she’s “palatable and easily to be influenced by him.”
Quad then dissed LaTeasha’s fashion game, calling her looks “jive-y.” She also named her as the one most in need of a stylist.
“I’m gonna say T. She needs to learn not to leave tags on the clothing,” Quad quipped.
After Quad refused to comment on LaTeasha’s intellect, she responded to Heavenly, who stated that the newcomer was “too damn honest” about being in it for the money.
“‘Well what do you like most about being engaged to a doctor?’ … ‘Access to a lot of money.’ She did say it,” Quad pointed out.
Quad also named Heavenly as the person “most likely to leak stories to press” and called out her friend for claiming that she “[sleeps] around and [sleeps] with people’s men.”
Quad responded to Dr. Jackie Walters, who said that her co-star only connects with friends when it’s convenient, during the WWHL: After Show.
“That’s completely not true and that’s insinuating I use my friends. I love my friends,” Quad explained. “There has never been a time I’ve been called upon or invited that I did not show up so I’ve got to tell you that’s an untrue statement. I love my friends. But here’s the thing: If they’re not trying to interact with me and I’m seeing things like them hanging out with my ex’s new fiancé or whoever, it makes me feel a certain kind of way as well.”
Married to Medicine airs Sundays, at 9 pm ET, on Bravo.
