Kathy Hilton Confirms Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky’s Marriage is Over

During the interview, Jenna Bush Hager brought up Kyle and Mauricio’s situation by asking about the “tricky time” the former couple has been experiencing.

“When I first saw it, I was just like, it just broke my heart,” Kathy said of the separation news before praising her sister’s strength. “Kyle, believe it or not, she’s the youngest but she’s the strongest [and] she’s bossiest … She’s very strong. She’s resilient.”

Kathy Hilton expressed her support for her nieces, Farrah Brittany, Alexia, Sophia, and Portia, “I love my nieces,” she stated. “I just want [Kyle] to be happy.”

Regarding the possibility of Kyle and Mauricio reconciling, especially given their recent Thanksgiving gathering, Kathy confirmed their is zero hope of reconciliation, “There’s no way that Kyle would’ve gone this far unless she really thought about it.”

Kyle shared some moments from a recent musical outing with her family on Instagram. On October 22, she posted Instagram Stories capturing the fun they had at a Morgan Wade concert. In one of the posts, Kyle showed her daughters, Alexia and Sophia Umansky, along with their friends, enjoying the concert from their seats, all smiles. Close by, Kyle and her sister Kathy Hilton were seen posing together for a photo. Kyle captioned this moment, “Had the best time with my sister [and daughters and friends] at the [Morgan Wade] concert.”

In later Instagram Stories, Kyle showcased more of the event, with footage of herself, Kathy, her daughters, and friends all singing along at the country music concert. Accompanying this footage, she wrote: “Friday night [Morgan Wade] we had fun.”

The news that the former couple, Kyle and Mauricio, spent Thanksgiving together was confirmed on November 23. Mauricio posted an Instagram Story, showcasing himself and Kyle preparing a holiday meal at their estate in Encino, California.

Kyle and Mauricio were joined by several family members for Thanksgiving, including Kyle’s niece Whitney Davis, who is the daughter of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Kim Richards, and her husband, Luke Graham White.

Just before the Thanksgiving holiday, Mauricio appeared on the “Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast.” During the podcast, he elaborated on the reason why he and Kyle have been deliberate in using the term “separated” to describe their current relationship status.

“We’re humans, and it doesn’t change on a daily basis. If we’re separated that means we’re giving each other time to allow things to happen,” he said, later adding, “Everyone wants to know what’s going on with my marriage — like, I do too, you know, we’re normal people. We’re normal human beings going through a struggle, we’re going through issues like everybody else does.”

At BravoCon 2023, Kyle Richards clarified the details surrounding her and Mauricio’s separation. Particularly during BravoCon Live, Kyle addressed a previous misstatement she made on the BravoCon 2023 carpet. She recounted having to correct someone who mentioned ‘divorce,’ insisting instead that they were ‘separated.’ “Two times, I had to correct someone when they said ‘divorce,’ I said, ‘separated,'” Kyle explained. “And then I went and said it, and then it went everywhere, so that was my bad. We’re still amicable.”

Additionally, at BravoCon 2023, Kyle provided an update on her relationship with Kathy.

At the “Livin’ in Beverly Hills” panel discussion on the third day of BravoCon, moderator Zuri Hall inquired about Kyle’s current relationship with her sister, Kathy, following their rift during Season 12 of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” Kyle responded positively, stating, “We’re great, thank God. You know we’re really good. We talk every day.”

Regarding her sister Kim Richards, Kyle remarked that both she and Kathy have been “very, very supportive” during her separation from Mauricio. Kyle humorously noted the rarity of having everyone in good spirits, saying, “It’s rare to get everybody good at the same time. So, I’m just enjoying this moment.”
