Kandi Burruss Gives Andy Cohen Permission to Rehire NeNe Leakes, Porsha Williams and Kim Zolciak
Kandi Burruss is open to welcoming back some familiar “Real Housewives of Atlanta” faces amid rumors that Bravo is planning a cast shakeup. Kandi, who has been on the RHOA cast since 2009, addressed rumors that pointed to the potential returns of fan favorites, NeNe Leakes, Porsha Williams and Kim Zolciak.
Kandi spoke to The Messenger about possibly stirring up drama with RHOA OG, NeNe Leakes.
“I definitely would welcome [Leakes] back with open arms now,” she told the outlet. “I think it would be exciting. Let me just say that.”
NeNe is fan favorite and full-time cast member on Real Housewives of Atlanta from Seasons 1-7 and 10-12.
Kandi also revealed that she’d like to see Porsha back in the mix.
She quipped — “I would be here for a Porsha moment. I think she could be open to it.”
“I think everybody probably will want to know, ‘Well, who’s going to be a part of this?'” she added. “I think everybody kind of would like to see, ‘Okay, well, if I do, then who am I going to be doing this with?’”
Kandi appeared uncertain about how she felt about Kim Zolciak making a “Housewives” comeback. The mom of six appeared on the Bravo series from Seasons 1-5.
The singer/songwriter revealed that she didn’t “know” about Kim’s potential return before noting—”You can never say what the network is thinking.”
In August, Porsha was reportedly “approached” about returning to RHOA, as sources told the outlet that producers were on the hunt for new additions to the cast. A source recently claimed that there had been “no talks” regarding NeNe’s return, despite fan chatter to the contrary.
Meanwhile, Kim’s on-again-off-again divorce has been making headlines for months.
Last week, one of Kim and Kroy Biermann’s minor children called the cops after the couple became embroiled in an “extremely loud” fight. TMZ reported that three officers and a supervisor settled the dispute after calming down the contentious couple.
In a follow-up report, TMZ confirmed that the explosive argument stemmed from the pair’s desperate financial situation. The report stated that the two had been squabbling for a week before things finally boiled over.
The “Don’t Be Tardy” duo’s financial crisis was exposed after Kim, 45, and Kroy, 38, were slapped with a federal tax lien on April 11. The IRS accused the pair of owing over a million dollars in back taxes for the years 2013, 2017 and 2018. Kroy was later hit with a lawsuit over outstanding debt racked up in a Bahamas casino and an unpaid bill tied to a car lease.
The former reality star and ex NFL player faced foreclosure on their home twice before convincing a judge to allow them to sell the property themselves to bring in funds to pay down their massive debt.
