‘RHOBH’ RECAP: Sutton Stracke Presses Kyle About Cheating Rumors Surrounding Her Marriage
Welcome back to a new episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. We pick up where we left off with Kyle Richards at Sutton Strake’s house, to tell her about herself following the ladies trip to Las Vegas. Sutton wants Kyle to name situations where Sutton lost her sh** and Kyle gladly obliges. Kyle tells Sutton that she basically loses her sh** every year including with Crystal Minkoff in 2021 with the “ugly leather pants” and in Lake Tahoe.
A flashback shows us the examples Kyle’s referring to, but it appears Sutton’s too drunk to receive the information. Kyle admits Sutton didn’t seem like herself but Sutton mocks Kyle by stating that Kyle herself seems unhinged. Kyle tells Sutton how upset she is, but Sutton flips the script and ask Kyle what’s going on in her life.
In Sutton’s confessional, she wonders if Kyle’s hiding something and says Kyle never speaks about her life. Sutton thinks Kyle puts her life on a pedestal and Kyle tells Sutton she’ll answer any questions before grabbing her purse and leaving. That was awkward!
The next day, Erika Jayne is speaking with her mother, Renee, in preparation for a visit. Erika lets us know she can only handle Renee for a short period of time but doesn’t shy away from holding her mother tight when she arrives. Erika admits that since she and her mother are so close in age, Renee felt more like an older sister than a mother. Renee’s seventy while Erika’s fifty-two years old, so that makes sense.
Erika and Renee compliment each other on their slimness before sitting down for coffee. Erika gives Renee options on where she’d like to sleep and makes it clear that she doesn’t want to do this. Before Tom Girardi’s debacle, Renee would be on the other side of the house but now she’s all up under Erika. Later, Garcelle Beauvais is home with her sons as they cook while burning themselves. After instructing Jaid to turn the temperature down, Garcelle explains how laid back Jaid is in comparison to Jax. Garcelle doesn’t think Jaid challenges her as much and so their relationship flows easier.
After the steak is complete, Garcelle asks Jaid what he thinks about their recent discussion at the beach with Jax. Garcelle couldn’t express herself with her mother, so she wants to encourage her sons to express themselves, without fear of repercussions. Garcelle tells Jaid that Jax hurt her feelings and Jaid seems surprised. Garcelle ask if Jaid wants more freedom but the only freedom he wants is for Garcelle to allow his girlfriend (Ashley) to sleep over. Garcelle immediately says no while reminiscing on her strict upbringing. Garcelle wasn’t allowed to date at fifteen, so she see’s her sons as lucky to have the space they do have. In her confessional, Garcelle admits to being in a car chase with her father, when she lied to meet up with a boy. Luckily Garcelle got the boy out in time, but we know her parents tore Garcelle up at home.
Garcelle ask Jaid who he’d like to invite to Garcelle’s movie screening and of course Jaid wants to invite Ashley. Garcelle’s excited for her new movie “Black Girl Missing” and is the executive producer for her first film. Garcelle tells Jaid about the ladies being there and Jaid wonders who to avoid and who to engage with LOL. Meanwhile at Crystal’s, she’s having dinner with her family and after the housekeeper leaves, Crystal sends the kids away to speak with Rob Minkoff. Crystal ask Rob about his trip to China, and we find out they have a property over there. However, since Crystal’s brother is still fresh off breaking things off with his fiancée; Crystal explains that she’s worried about Jeff and how he’s feeling.
Rob admits that Jeff hasn’t moved on from his ex and Crystal has the same thought. Crystal explains that three years ago Jeff was engaged but due to the pandemic, the family forced Jeff to come back to the states; but at the expense of his relationship. Jeff’s fiancée couldn’t join him in America and essentially the distance destroyed their relationship. Rob see’s that Jeff’s in war with himself and is conflicted on his feelings towards Crystal and the family. Jeff should’ve stayed with his woman and now he’s regretting choosing his family over her. Crystal attempts to cover their actions by saying “It’s the Chinese way” but Rob understands that Jeff wants/needs to become his own man.
Crystal doesn’t like the idea of Jeff breaking away and Rob is beginning to think it’s a Crystal problem and not a Jeff problem. Crystal claims she’s not competitive with his ex and tries to FaceTime Jeff before he heads to lunch. Jeff answers but seems appears to have been crying and immediately Rob wants Crystal to speak her peace. Hesitant, Rob speaks up for Crystal that she may regret forcing Jeff to move back to the states. Crystal admits she feels bad, and Jeff just wants to talk to his love. Aw! As it rains the next day, Sutton, and Jennifer Tilly as they head to visit Sutton’s new horse. Santo’s costed a good forty-seven thousand dollars, but Sutton explains her Texas roots never left her spirit.
Sutton has flowers for her new baby and is nervous to meet her new pet. After meeting the trainer, Sutton’s amazed at how beautiful he is! Sutton feeds Santos a carrot and is sold on the purchase. Sutton and Jennifer have lunch and toast to Sutton’s new horse before chatting about the other ladies. Sutton tells Jennifer about Kyle’s behavior towards her but leaves out her own actions.
As Jennifer listens, Sutton speaks about Kyle’s recent weight loss and mentions seeing Kyle out without her wedding band. Sutton knows about the rumors about Mauricio Umansky cheating and wonders if that has something to do with Kyle’s strange behavior. Jennifer gives Kyle the benefit of doubt and assumes Kyle could be regaining control of her life.
The next morning, Erika’s complaining to Renee about not washing dishes, but Renee thought Bill would be coming. Apparently, Erika has a housekeeper that comes once a week but it’s clear these ladies are beginning to get on each other’s nerves. Renee brings up Erika’s show on Broadway and soon the two are bickering about Renee coming to the show. Erika and Renee weren’t on speaking terms at the time, but Renee wanted to support her daughter. The two agree to disagree on why Erika actually hung up on Renee and it’s revealed that the argument happened over Renee questioning Erika about Tom.
Renee asks Erika how many times she visited Tom’s office and Erika immediately shuts down Renee’s line of questioning. Erika reveals that discussing the situation is like opening a wound, but she is happy to put this drama behind her. Renee throws Erika off by announcing she brought paints. Erika’s happy her time with mom is coming to an end and soon we see Garcelle getting ready for the movie screening. Kyle’s talking to Dorit Kemsley as she gets ready and begins telling Dorit about her interesting visit with Sutton. At the same time, Sutton FaceTime’s Garcelle to update her on Sutton’s new beef with Kyle. Sutton thinks Erika set her up as Kyle reenacts Sutton’s impression of Erika.
Dorit wonders if Sutton is threatening Kyle but Kyle’s already hip to the rumors out there. Dorit’s riding with Sutton to the event and Dorit’s eyes grow wide in anticipation. It’s time for the movie screening and Sutton stumbles down the stairs as her photographer take some pics for Sutton’s store. Dorit’s growing impatient as she waits for Sutton but inside Sutton is taking her sweet time with these photos. Sutton comes out with no explanation but apologizes to Dorit for her tardiness. Meanwhile, Garcelle’s arriving with her kids to Beauty & Essex to the movie screening and gets a first look at everything. Garcelle meets the venue manager and is grateful that everything looks in place.
Garcelle’s nervous but excited to see her finishing work as she grab a cocktail and get to socializing. Kyle arrives first with a new Burkin bag and gives Garcelle her props for working and making her dream a reality. Dorit and Sutton are discussing the time of the screening in hopes they can grab a drink before the movie starts. Sutton tells Dorit that one-hundred people should be in attendance and Dorit begins feeling uncomfortable. In her confessional, Dorit explains she needs to know who she’ll be surrounded by, unless she’ll begin getting triggered. OMG. We know how this is about to go. Dorit’s not good with crowds but at least she can relax since she’s not the main character.
Garcelle greets her friends, as Kyle meets Jaid and Jax along with their girlfriends. Garcelle has a huge list of stars there and even Larsa Pippen makes an appearance. Dorit’s already feeling jumpy around multiple people but doesn’t seemed phased until someone scares Dorit out of nowhere! Garcelle’s taken aback but ask Dorit if she’s alright as we see Jax consider speaking to Erika. Jax tells Crystal that Garcelle wants him to speak and ask Crystal to tag along. Crystal’s proud that Jax wants to approach Erika and thinks Erika is in a better place to resolve things. Jax says hi to Erika immediately and wants to let her know that things are good between them.
Erika acts like an adult and apologizes once again for her actions and finally we can put this drama to rest! Erika gives Garcelle her props on raising such a great son and Jax lets Garcelle know that everything is sorted out. Garcelle’s so proud of Jax and although Garcelle wanted Erika to approach Jax; she’s glad the issue can be put behind them. Garcelle thanks her guest for showing up and makes it clear that Black and Brown girls are important, especially when they go missing. The movie begins and the ladies are so into it they don’t even notice Denise Richards walk in the building! Garcelle’s so happy to see her and after the movie everyone gives Garcelle compliments on a job well done.
Everyone’s excited and thrilled for Garcelle and it’s nice to see the ladies share a genuine moment. Denise sneaks up on Dorit and Crystal, and although they play it off well, the ladies are surprised to see their old friend. As Kyle sits in a corner, Sutton sits down next to her to talk things out. Kyle admits it wasn’t easy to speak to Sutton that night and before things kick off, Sutton tells Kyle she’s being aggressive! Kyle points out that she was sitting minding her business when Sutton approached her and wonders if Sutton wants to hear the truth. Sutton thought she was being calm, but Kyle disagrees as Denise hugs Erika.
Sutton’s questioning her friendship with Kyle and tells Kyle she thinks something’s off with Kyle. Kyle tells Sutton to spit it before telling Sutton she’s full of sh**. Being truthful, Sutton tells Kyle there’s a lack of respect and that Kyle treats Sutton like a little sister. Kyle tells Sutton not to flatter herself and Sutton wonders if Kyle’s upset about the Kathy Hilton situation. Sutton still hangs out with Kathy and believes Kyle’s upset that she’s on good terms with her sister. Garcelle pulls Dorit aside to chat and before getting into the nitty gritty, Dorit compliments Garcelle’s work. Garcelle explains she wanted Dorit to speak up for Jax and in Las Vegas; Dorit took Garcelle’s words to heart while getting defensive.
Dorit thinks each time she and Garcelle move forward, they take two steps back. Dorit admits she should’ve paused, and Garcelle thought Dorit’s comment about it being over a year, was insensitive. The two hug it out and promise to do better moving forward as Sutton and Kyle continue their conversation. Sutton admits Kyle seems different but Kyle chalks it up to her physical training.
Sutton tells Kyle that her exercising is excessive, but Kyle doesn’t get why her fitness journey is so troubling to Sutton. Sutton wants Kyle to consider she could be right as the episode ends. Looks like this season is just getting started! Be sure to come back next week to see what unfolds on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
