Tensions exploded between Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann earlier this week, resulting in an argument so heated that one of their minor children called the police. 

TMZ reported Tuesday that cops arrived at the couple’s Georgia mansion Monday night, after receiving a call about their “extremely loud” fight. The outlet stated that three officers and a supervisor settled the dispute after calming down the warring couple. Police sources confirmed that one of the pair’s minor kids made the phone call. 

Earlier this month, the former Bravo star and retired Atlanta Falcons linebacker raised eyebrows across social media when they posted pics snapped during a cozy 12th anniversary dinner. The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum went on to change her Instagram handle from @kimzolciak to @kimzbiermann, after publicly ditching “Biermann” in June.

The most recent marital breakdown is the latest in a long string of domestic disputes that have involved law enforcement. Police have been dispatched to the residence several times since the couple announced their breakup, earlier this year. 

Kim accused her husband of locking up her belongings, stealing her cell phones and locking her out of the master bedroom. The pair’s four children, Kroy Jr., 11,  Kash, 10, and 9 year-old twins Kaia and Kane, have regularly watched police respond to domestic meltdowns inside the family home.  

In a follow-up report, TMZ confirmed that the explosive argument stemmed from the couple’s desperate financial situation. The report stated that the two had been squabbling for a week before things finally boiled over on Monday. 

The “Don’t Be Tardy” couple’s dire financial crisis was exposed after Kim and Kroy were slapped with a federal tax lien on April 11, shortly before they announced their impending divorce. The IRS accused the pair of owing over a million dollars in back taxes for the years 2013, 2017 and 2018. Kroy was later hit with a lawsuit over outstanding debt racked up in a Bahamas casino and an unpaid bill tied to a car lease. 

Kim is also being sued by Saks/Capital One for neglecting to pay $150k in credit card debt and fees.  

The pair faced foreclosure on their home on two occasions before convincing a judge to allow them to sell the property themselves to bring in funds to pay down their massive debt. 

Kim, 45, and Kroy, 38, still live under the same roof but in separate areas of their Alpharetta, Georgia home, which is currently on the market for $6 million. Last month, Kim and Kroy were ordered to stay away from each other as their divorce moved forward. The court ruled that Kim would have exclusive use of the basement and the nanny quarters and Kroy the master bedroom.
