Mauricio Umansky Refuses to Watch His Marriage Unravel On ‘RHOBH’
Mauricio Umansky is tuning out the currently airing season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The real estate mogul decided to pass on watching Bravo’s spin on the demise of his marriage to Kyle Richards, amid the estranged couple’s ongoing separation.
Mauricio Umansky explained that he was not interested in watching the “dramatization” of his marital breakdown on the Bravo series, during a Thursday appearance on “The Skinny Confidential Him and Her Show” podcast.
“I know that they’re dramatizing everything,” the “Buying Beverly Hills” star told hosts Lauryn Evarts Bosstick and Michael Bosstick.
He explained — “There’s a bunch of stuff that I don’t really want to see because it will just create more noise for me and more opinions.”
The Agency co-founder added — “People that watch that show are all opinionated and they just don’t realize it. There are two humans on the other side of your opinion. That’s really, really difficult.”
Mauricio explained that he chooses to “be in and out” while filming the show, explaining — “My wife is always right and then you know, I get out as fast as possible.”
Mauricio admitted that discussing his marital problems with his RHOBH co-stars felt awkward at times because of the friendships he and Kyle had developed with cast members over the years.
He shrugged off online chatter, noting that he didn’t “need to read the BS” because he knows the real story.
“When I know what I’m doing with my marriage, I will let you guys all know. Until then, everybody can take a hike and f— off,” he declared.
Mauricio said — “I always tell my wife. I’m like, ‘I know what happens to us.’ I’m the one that went to bed. I’m the one that woke up.”

In July, news broke that Kyle and Mauricio had separated after a 26-year marriage. The estranged couple denied that they were headed for divorce, only sharing that they had experienced a “rough year.”
Kyle revealed that she was the one who initiated the separation during a recent appearance on “Watch What Happens Live.”
“[The split] originated from me,” she admitted, last month.
Mauricio, 53, did not come clean about the separation until September.
“Kyle and I are human beings, OK? We have emotions, we have feelings, we’re going through a really hard time, OK?” he told TMZ. “We are currently separated. We are not talking about divorce, and we’re trying to deal with this stuff internally with ourselves privately.”
Kyle and Mauricio wed in January 1996 and share three daughters, Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23, and Portia, 15. Kyle is also mom to Farrah Aldjufrie, 34.
Kyle spoke out about needing “freedom” from her husband during a recent episode of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
“I feel like I needed a little freedom — freedom and some space,” Kyle told co-star, Dorit Kemsley, as cameras rolled.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Wednesdays at 8 pm ET on Bravo.
