Clues Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker’s Marriage On the Rocks!
Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker recently aired out a disagreement on Instagram Live after Todd stayed out partying until 5 a.m.
The Bravo Shaderoom captured the awkward exchange between the Real Housewives of Atlanta stars, during which Todd asked — “Why is there a big deal?”
Todd stood his ground, shrugging off the idea that it was inappropriate for a 50-year-old father of four to return home at dawn after hitting the Atlanta nightclub scene.
Kandi was getting her hair and makeup done by her team as the marital discussion heated up.
“You check my location, so you know I’m not at no chick’s house,” Todd argued. “Unless the chick lives at the club, or lives at Magic City, or lives at a restaurant.”
Todd claimed that he likes to hang around after closing time to chat up the club owners while staffers clean up.
Kandi and her glam team were not convinced, so Todd reminded his wife that she had a “tracker” on his phone.
Kandi pointed out — “If you got a husband who likes to stay out like that, then you should definitely have a location on him.”
The public back-and-forth, which ended at an impasse, seemingly spotlighted potential trust issues brewing in the Bravo couple’s marriage.
There’s little doubt that Kandi’s mother, Mama Joyce, would not approve of Todd’s all-nighters, but the reality star shared a positive update on the duo’s relationship during a BravoCon appearance, last month.
Mama Joyce shaded her son-in-law at the event the previous year, after she was asked to “say three nice things” about her son-in-law.
Mama Joyce replied that Todd was “still short,” that he “shaved his beard some,” and that he’s “very nice to his kids.”
RHOA fans know that Mama Joyce and Todd’s relationship has been rocky for years.
Kandi was asked for an update on where Mama Joyce and Todd stand today, during BravoCon 2023 panel, Viva Las Atlanta Peaches.
“At last year’s BravoCon, Mama Joyce made waves with her shady comments about Todd,” moderator X Mayo told Kandi. “So what is the status of their relationship right now?”
“They are doing great right now,” Kandi replied.
The moderator challenged the singer/songwriter’s response, telling Kandi that “every reunion, everywhere, [you say] ‘They are doing fine!’”
“No, no, no. I don’t always say that,” Kandi pushed back. “We were going through it for, like, at least seven to eight months after BravoCon [2022]. That BravoCon last year set it off in my household. They weren’t talking. If she came around, Todd would leave. It was a whole mess. I guess over the summer, he decided to let it go. They started communicating. She comes over and hangs out with the kids.”
