Phaedra Parks SHADES Her Former ‘RHOA’ Costars After Joining Married to Medicine: ‘These Women Have Jobs’

Phaedra Parks took aim at her ex Real Housewives of Atlanta co-stars when she pointed out glaring differences between her old gig and her new role on Married to Medicine.

Phaedra Parks

Phaedra spoke to People at BravoCon 2023, where she addressed her shift from “Housewives” fame to joining the Season 10 “Married to Medicine” cast, alongside fellow newcomer, Alicia Egolum.

The Atlanta lawyer claimed that she and Alicia added “a lot of seasoning to the gumbo.”

She quipped — “Now it’s extra spicy!”

When Phaedra was asked to compare her two Bravo experiences, she pointed to key differences between the casts.

“Well, these girls are very intelligent and they have careers and jobs,” Phaedra replied. “I’ve totally enjoyed the whole cast. They’ve been really great. Now, some of them are a little crazy. A few of ’em [are] a little messy. But you know, it’s been good. I mean, it’s a great combination.”

The reality star also noted that the M2M ladies “really support one another.” She shared that she felt a strong sense of “camaraderie” after joining the cast.

“That’s what I really love about it. They’re not like cutthroat like the Housewives, baby. They’re cutthroat. They go for blood,” she added. “They [are] cutting other things — they cutting out the bad parts, but they’re not trying to kill you.”

Phaedra’s new cast mates weighed in during the “Bravo2Bravo: Bosom Buddies” panel at the Las Vegas event.

“We’re still getting to know Phaedra,Dr. Jackie Walters said before Dr. Simone Whitmore chimed in— “We’re getting to know her slowly but surely.”

“Remember, she’s coming to our world. We’re the doctors. This is ‘Married to Medicine’ — we’re the medicine,” Jackie added.

Phaedra appeared to pull a fast one ahead of her debut, as she revealed that her romance with mystery doctor, Dr. O, was o-ver.

“You’ll have to watch to see what happens,” Phaedra quipped last month on Page Six’s Reali-Tea podcast. “But yeah, there might be another doctor that’s looming in the picture as well. Love is in the air, honey!”

Phaedra guarded the details of her ex-romance when she officially joined the Bravo cast, as her controversial marriage to ex-husband, Apollo Nida, was often highlighted during her time on RHOA. Phaedra and Apollo share two sons, Ayden, 13, and 10-year-old Dylan.

In May 2014, Apollo pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit mail, wire, and bank fraud and was sentenced to eight years in prison. Apollo exited prison in July 2019 and spent time in a Philadelphia halfway house before he was released from federal custody, on November 26, 2022.

The attorney labeled a lawyer-doctor partnership as “career goals.”

“Doctors are definitely smart. The conversations are different and the goals are definitely different,” Phaedra said. “Who doesn’t like ‘The Cosbys’? Like, that was the ultimate doctor-lawyer relationship.”
