Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann Reconcile, Back In Love Again!
Kim Zolciak reclaimed her married name, Biermann, on social media after celebrating her 12th wedding anniversary with a cozy dinner alongside estranged husband, Kroy Biermann. The anniversary date seemingly took place over the weekend, despite the pair’s ongoing divorce.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum changed her Instagram handle from @kimzolciak to @kimzbiermann after publicly ditching “Biermann” in June. Her decision to dump the moniker tied to the former pro athlete came after the filing of the first of two divorce petitions, earlier this year.
Kim, 35, shares four children with the former NFL player, Kroy Jr., 11, Kash, 10, and 9 year-old twins Kaia and Kane. Kroy adopted Kim’s adult daughters, Brielle, 26, and Ariana, 21, after the couple wed, in 2011.
Kroy filed for divorce in May, and Kim filed shortly thereafter. Kroy refiled in August after a brief reconciliation. He requested full custody of their children, alimony, child support and exclusive use of their Atlanta area mansion.
In September, Kim filed a motion to dismiss Kroy’s second divorce petition, citing recent sexual encounters to dispute his claim that their marriage was “irretrievably broken.”
Kim stated in documents that the two had “engaged in marital sexual relations on multiple occasions since the filing of the petition for divorce,” and they “most recently” hooked up on September 7.
Kroy’s lawyers hit back, making it clear that their client was not backing off the divorce.
“The fact that he engaged in sexual relations with [Kim] does not indicate a desire to reconcile,” court documents stated. “[Kroy], after this second filing, remains steadfast in his desire to leave [Kim], leave the marital residence, with the children, and provide a home for them that is calm and stable; the opposite of their current environment.”
Kim took to social media the same month to share that she remained hopeful about saving her marriage.
“I’m living here not going anywhere!” she said on her Instagram Stories. “Been working on our marriage and have been living together as husband and wife. The lies daily are too much.”
On Saturday, Kim took to her Instagram Story to dish that she was enjoying an Italian dinner with Kroy to mark the contentious couple’s 12-year milestone.
“This is the best bruschetta I’ve ever had in my life,” the “Don’t Be Tardy” alum said as she showed off several dishes. “This is the lasagna. This is amazing.”
The former Atlanta Falcons linebacker agreed, commenting — “Unreal.”
Last month, the soon-to-be exes appeared to be on more stable ground, as Kroy was by Kim’s side during a pricey vaginal rejuvenation procedure.
“Kroy came with her to help her out. It’s a big surgery,” a tipster told Us, describing the pair’s bond as “bizarre.”
The insider added — “They’re going through a divorce, talk badly about each other, then travel together.”
