‘Summer House’ Star Carl Radke Talks REGRETS Over Lindsay Hubbard Breakup!

Carl Radke stands by his decision to end his engagement to Lindsay Hubbard, but has regrets over how he broke the news.  

Carl addressed his split from his Summer House co-star during an appearance on the latest episode of Captain Lee Rosbach’s podcast, “Salty With Captain Lee.”

The 38-year-old told the Below Deck alum — “It’s been scary. It’s been confusing. It’s been emotional. And I feel really bad with how everything ultimately played out. If I could go back and make something a little bit easier or better, I would.”

Carl clarified that he still believed that cutting ties with his ex was for the best, adding — “I do firmly think Lindsay and I going in separate directions will be healthier for us in the long run.”

Carl didn’t explain what he would’ve done differently, after allowing Bravo cameras to film the breakup. He recently denied Lindsay’s claim that he manipulated her to capture the dramatic split for the show. 

“I don’t decide what is being filmed on ‘Summer House.’ I really don’t,” he told People at BravoCon 2023. “I just respond to what’s being requested.”

Carl added that viewers will get a broader perspective on his decision when they watch the new season of the Bravo reality series. 

“Due to the fact that our show is gonna air in January, I do really think people are gonna watch this season and a lot of questions might be answered,” he said. “People really understand how a decision like calling off a wedding [how it] could come to that. It’s a very big thing.”

He told the outlet that he stayed quiet during the emotional ordeal because he was trying to “process” his feelings and “heal properly.” He added that he wanted to “be respectful” to Lindsay in the aftermath of the breakup. 

Lindsay and Carl met while filming the reality show, in 2017. In January 2022, Carl confirmed that the couple had officially exited the friend zone amid rumors that they had rekindled a romantic relationship. Carl proposed in August 2022 on a Hamptons beach as cameras rolled. The scene was featured during Season 7 of Summer House.

Carl ended the engagement only three months before the couple was  scheduled to wed in Mexico. 

Meanwhile, Lindsay has been speaking out about how she navigated the “absolutely humiliating” breakup.  

“He blew up my entire life. I was crying, I was angry and I had to find closure on my own. Now I’m at a place where I feel really good about moving on,” Lindsay told Us Weekly earlier this month. 

Lindsay told the outlet that she was “blindsided” by the news since the pair had only “had a couple of arguments.”

The former publicist explained — “Every couple has normal arguments, but nothing that would’ve been so drastic as to break up. It was literally the last two weeks of summer that his demeanor and tone changed. There was a lot of combativeness and aggression on his end, and I was very confused.”
