Teresa Giudice Blames Melissa Gorga for Starting Luis Ruelas and Alexia Nepola Dating Rumor
Teresa Giudice accused sister-in-law and Real Housewives of New Jersey co-star, Melissa Gorga, of starting a rumor about her husband, Luis Ruelas, romantically pursuing Alexia Nepola before shifting his focus to her.
“My sister-in-law put it out there,” Teresa told Page Six at BravoCon Friday. “She’s the one that started it.”
Luis added that the allegation was “just a rumor” circulated by people who are “thirsty for attention.”
The Real Housewives of Miami star also addressed the chatter during a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live.
“Absolutely not, we [first met] each other in Barcelona — but I was with Todd — before [Luis] was with Teresa,” Alexia told host, Andy Cohen, when asked about the rumor.
The 56-year-old clarified that she didn’t even know who Luis was at the time. Alexia explained that she thought he approached her because he recognized her from RHOM.
“We were just talking, we were staying in the same hotel, and he was just being nice and friendly,” the Bravo star continued. “I get a lot of attention because of my kids.”
Alexia, who tied the knot with husband, Todd Nepola, in 2021, explained that she bonded with Teresa’s future husband because they both have a child with autism. She disclosed that she had a later encounter with Luis, explaining—“For whatever reason, we saw each other again in some other country that we were traveling [to].”
Alexia added that she was with Todd, who observed her conversations with Luis, the entire time.
“Why does anybody wanna make it more than what it is?” she asked. “People are suspecting like, he had an agenda and he knew who [Teresa] was.”
Cohen noted that it was actually Margaret Josephs who first mentioned the rumor, while Melissa brought up the hot topic during the RHONJ Season 13 reunion.
Teresa, 51, and Melissa, 44, remain embroiled in a family feud and have not spoken in almost a year. The pair fell out after Teresa allegedly spread a rumor accusing Melissa of cheating on her husband, Joe Gorga. The subsequent blowout fight led to the Gorgas ditching Teresa and Luis’ August 2022 wedding.
Last month, Teresa appeared to take a shot at her brother and sister-in-law as she read a segment from her “diary” amid the family’s ongoing conflict. The monologue came as Melissa iced out Teresa from her Envy boutique fashion event, while inviting the rest of the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast.
Teresa read the entry during a live taping of her “Namaste B$tches” podcast.
Teresa said — “I was taught at a very young age that family was sacred. I was taught to honor my family, to respect my family … and no matter what, to always protect my family. Things change, people change. What once was is no longer.”
Teresa became emotional as she continued — “Peace comes from accepting these changes, whether they are good or bad. Peace comes from accepting the truth, as difficult as it may be. And the truth is that most people don’t carry the same values as I have … These people have no values, they have no honor, and they have no respect.”
The reality star added — “They are jealous, treacherous, and they are evil. Their hearts are not filled with love. Their hearts are filled with hatred and envy.”
Melissa snubbed her nemesis from the fashion event, per a report by the U.S. Sun. The entire cast, minus Teresa, attended the fashion show.
