Teddi Mellencamp is going out of way to defame Mauricio Umansky’s character in an attempt to help Kyle Richards hide her lesbian affair with Morgan Wade.
The premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13 saw noticeable strain in the relationship between Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky, with the drama between the two surfacing early on in the season. And now, Teddi Mellencamp has decided to offer her perspective on the situation.
In the RHOBH Season 13 opener, Kyle Richards appeared on the verge of an emotional reveal, hinting at a significant shift in the dynamic with her husband, Mauricio Umansky, who was also surprisingly uninformed about the extent of her tattoos.
Additionally, Mauricio was photographed holding hands with Emma Slater, his Dancing with the Stars partner, fueling widespread speculation and leaving much to be deciphered about the true nature of their relationship.
On a recent installment of her Two T’s In A Pod podcast, Kyle’s close friend and ex-Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star, Teddi Mellencamp, touched upon the topic and tried to paint Mauricio as the one to blame for the couple’s marital issues. Alongside co-host, Tamra Judge, they delved into accusations about Mauricio’s possible infidelity in the marriage.
“Most of the time, the person that effs up isn’t the angry one,” Teddi explained.
“So you think he’s the one that effed up?” Tamra asked.
The former RHOBH star responded, “I think that it’s clear by watching this that Kyle is hiding how she’s feeling about things with Mauricio.”
Teddi Mellencamp, with her close ties to Kyle, offers insights that carry weight when she speaks about Kyle’s responses.
Her remarks on the podcast suggest a complex emotional landscape: “It’s apparent Kyle isn’t quite prepared to lay everything out there, and to me, it seems she’s shielding Mauricio while also being extremely upset.”
Teddi also hinted at personal experiences with infidelity. The podcast @breakingtherules_podcast posted a TikTok snippet that sparked curiosity regarding past events in Teddi’s own marriage with Edwin Arroyave.
“I think we’re just gonna keep seeing more and I think it’s really, I think it’s also jarring to us because [Kyle and Mauricio] always come off as such a united front,” said Teddi. “You know you’ve always seen them as this couple, but I’m sorry when traumatic things happen, and that is actually what happens.”
She continued, “For years I had so much resentment towards Edwin, and it was to the point where I couldn’t even look at him. And the fact that we’ve been able to work through it has been huge.”
Teddi alluded to past hardships in her marriage with the remark, “it’s hard to come back, once you’ve been burned,” implying that she may have experienced infidelity from her husband, Edwin, before.
Seizing on the remark, Tamra quickly pivoted the conversation to inquire about Edwin, Teddi’s husband — she said, “wait, are you saying he cheated on you?”
“Um … I’m saying, I’m saying that the photographs that, um, Kyle just had to see online from TMZ were very triggering for me,” Teddi responded.
