The Real Housewives of Orange County star was arraigned in court last week after being arrested on a DUI and a hit and run.

Prosecutors charged the reality star with two misdemeanors, a DUI and a hit-and-run, per a TMZ report. Law enforcement insiders told the outlet that Shannon blew a .24% BAC after the wreck, three times the legal limit.

The 59-year-old reportedly began checking out treatment centers last month, after ramming her car into a Newport Beach residence while under the influence of alcohol. The reality star narrowly missed the front door of the duplex before fleeing the scene.

She went on to park her vehicle in the middle of the street before getting out to walk her dog. TMZ reported that the reality star told police that she “was just walking her pup.”

Shannon Beador was charged and released from the Newport Beach jail on a $2,500 bond. She was later photographed with noticeable bruises and a cast on her arm.

She reportedly vowed to pay for all damages.

The mom of three was officially charged on October 27. The Daily Mail snapped pics of the glum RHOC personality, who was wearing black leggings and a black sweatshirt.

The Bravo star broke her silence earlier this month, via a video posted on Instagram.

Shannon explained on October 17 — “I know it’s been a while since I posted and there’s been a lot of talk about everything that’s happened recently. But unfortunately, right now, I’m not in the position to comment.”

Some common DUI hit and run penalties in California include: 2-4 years in state prison if the accident caused a serious injury or death. Up to 1 year in jail if the accident caused a minor injury. Up to $1,000 in fines or up to 6 months in county jail if the accident only involved property damage (misdemeanor hit and run).

An onlooker at the local bar told TMZ that Shannon appeared tipsy the night of the accident. The source dished that she was loudly complaining about former RHOC “Housewife,” Alexis Bellino, who was also in the establishment.

TMZ caught up with Alexis, who revealed that she stayed away from Shannon after the pair nearly crossed paths that night.

“When my girlfriends and I arrived for a fun night out together, it was soon brought to my attention that Shannon was also at the same restaurant,” Alexis told the outlet.

Alexis spoke to a claim that Shannon was heard “bitching” about the RHOC alum “to other people nearby.”

She said — “Shannon and I did not interact that night, but it greatly saddens me to learn that she may harbor negative feelings or resentment toward me, as I was not involved in Jim Bellino’s lawsuit against Shannon.”

Alexis concluded — “From one single mother to another, I wish Shannon nothing but the best, as I know she is facing trying times ahead.”

In 2018, Alexis’ ex-husband, Jim Bellino, hit Shannon and Bravo veteran, Tamra Judge, with a $1 million defamation lawsuit. Shannon’s portion of the lawsuit was dropped in 2019 and Tamra eventually settled with her former co-star’s ex.
