Ramona Singer Caught Using the N-Word in Leaked Text Message

Ramona Singer has recently found herself embroiled in a controversy involving the alleged use of a racial slur, as documented in a Vanity Fair exposé and subsequent coverage by Page Six.

In response to the allegations, the Real Housewives of New York City alum communicated via text to a Page Six reporter, clarifying that she used the term ‘N Word,’ not the unabridged racial epithet itself. See the text exchange below.

The Vanity Fair article incorporated several interviews, notably featuring fellow “Housewives” like Eboni K. Williams and Leah McSweeney, revealing that Ramona allegedly used the N-word in conversation with a Black crew member during Season 13’s production. This incident led to internal complaints within Shed Media, Warner Bros. Discovery, Bravo, and NBCUniversal. Despite the objections and an internal investigation, results remained inconclusive due to Ramona’s denial of using the offensive term.

Eboni K. Williams, distinguished as the first Black “Housewife” on the New York City franchise, also recounted in the exposé another incident involving Ramona. During a training call with racial justice representatives and communications experts from Bravo and NBCUniversal, Ramona purportedly made generalizations regarding the absence of fathers in Black families. Ramona’s exact words, as reported by Williams, were, “What if they don’t have a father? Why can’t I say that? Most of them don’t.”

Ramona’s defense against these allegations was articulated in a statement to Vanity Fair. She asserted that the training involved ‘open dialogue,’ within which she raised a question regarding single-parent household statistics she had read.

Ramona allegedly made discriminatory comment against black cast members on the show, suggesting it as a reason for not having Black individuals on the show. Ramona has categorically denied this accusation, dismissing it as a “terrible lie.” She reiterated her stance in an email to Vanity Fair, affirming her support for adding diverse members to the cast prior to Williams’ involvement.
