‘Cake Boss’ Star Buddy Valastro Caught On Video Stealing, Cops Involved!
Cake Boss baker, Buddy Valastro, was caught stealing snacks from another show inside a New Jersey TV studio, sparking a culinary mystery that was busted wide open by “On Patrol: Live” staffers.
Valastro was caught on camera stealing the treats, but later claimed the incidents to be just a big mistake.
The chain of events started when the cable series noticed that some of their goodies were missing inside their New Jersey studio space. The crime show, which airs on Reelz, naturally set up a sting to catch the individual raiding their private pantry.
The stolen items included “whole bags of things,” not just individual items here and there, per a Page Six insider. The ripped off goods allegedly included speciality sweets brought by a staffer from Japan and full bags of dried mangoes.
Employees discovered the culinary culprit after they reviewed footage captured by a Ring camera installed in the break room. They were shocked to uncover Buddy Valastro, the Hoboken celebrity baker behind Carlo’s Bakery, as the snack bandit.
The “Cake Boss” personality also stars in A&E series, “Legends of the Fork” and “Cake Dynasty.”
“They got all this video of him not just grabbing an M&M, but taking full bags” of snacks, a shocked insider told the outlet. “You’re stealing from a police show. The show is all about law enforcement, and they always have cops in the studio.”
Former police sergeant, Sean “Sticks” Larkin, Captain Curtis Wilson and legal expert/anchor, Dan Abrams, host the “Cops”-type crime series.
A source dished that producers purportedly caught Valastro “half-a-baker’s-dozen times” in a week “purloining the pantry” after “combing through” the Ring camera footage.
Page Six reached out to Valastro and his rep replied — “Lots of filming with Buddy’s new shows on A&E, busy day filming, and Buddy walked into the wrong room.”
The rep aded that the cake wiz plans to rectify his mistake.
The spokesperson added — “But who doesn’t enjoy delicious dried mangoes and other healthy snacks! A man can’t live on cake alone. Buddy will be replacing the dried mango snacks with a nice big mango flavored cake and sweets from Carlo’s Bakery!”
