NeNe Leakes’ Son Bryson Bryant Goes Missing After Jail Release

NeNe Leakes’ son, Bryson Bryant has been ghost since being released from jail only days after the child’s sixth birthday.

The 33-year-old was arrested on July 3 for fentanyl possession and released from the Gwinnett County jail on October 5 after posting a $6,100 bond.

The troubled son of The Real Housewives of Atlanta  alum has yet to see or speak to his son, Blaze, Radar Online reports.

“He has not seen Blaze nor asked to see him,” an in-the-know source told the outlet.

A judge ruled that Blaze was Bryson’s biological child in July 2020 and ordered him to pay child support. Bryson was reportedly $20k behind on his payments when he was arrested in July. Blaze turned six on October 2, three days before Bryson posted bond.

The bond was broken down in three parts — $1,850 for the loitering charge, $1,850 for falsifying his name to the police and $2,400 for possession of a scheduled II controlled substance.

Sources also claimed that Bryson has not been staying with his famous mother since his release.

Bryson was arrested on a misdemeanor for loitering/prowling and for felony possession of fentanyl. He claimed at the time of his arrest that he was his younger brother, Brentt Leakes, which handed him an additional charge for “giving a false name, address, or birthdate to a law enforcement officer.”

Bryson’s original release date was January 3, 2024, according to a sheriff’s office rep, partially because he had violated his probation from a separate case when he was arrested in July. Sheriff’s office reps declined to respond when asked why Bryson was released three months early.

Bryson was warned that he would face consequences if he skipped out on his scheduled court date.

“If you fail to appear, your bond will be forfeited and a bench warrant will be issued for your re-arrest,” the release documents stated. “It is your responsibility to keep informed as to your court dates. It is your responsibility to keep the court advised on any changes to your address.”

NeNe spoke out about her son’s predicament after Bryson was taken into custody.

“He needs rehabilitation,” she said. “He needs a lot of counseling. Like many families out there, I have family members that are struggling with drugs and certain addictions. He has an addiction. He’s been struggling with it for years. He’s been in rehab for a couple of times and he still has come back out and relapsed.”
