Barbara Evans Regains Custody of Jace … Jenelle and David Eason Under CRIMINAL Investigation By CPS For Child Abuse

Jenelle Evans’ son, Jace, has returned to the care of his grandmother, Barbara Evans.

As reported, Jenelle Evans and her husband David Eason are currently under investigation by both CPS and the Columbus County Sheriff’s Department. This comes after Jace ran away from the couple’s property on three separate occasions between August and September 2023. Following his third attempt to run away, Jace was taken into CPS custody and underwent a mental evaluation at a hospital. Since his release from the hospital on October 10, he has been in the custody  of his grandmother, Barbara Evans.

Despite initial denials from Jenelle and David Eason, it was confirmed that Jace has officially been released back to his grandmother Barbara’s care, according to The Ashley.  

This disheartening chapter unfolds amid swirling whispers of an ongoing investigation involving Jenelle and David by the Department of Social Services (DSS)/CPS. Contradicting the narrative painted by other media outlets, curated from statements by Jenelle’s manager, August Keen, sources have unmasked the truth. It appears that the wheels of investigation were already in motion even before the heart-wrenching incident where Jace felt compelled to flee from his residence for the third time.

According to the outlet, Jace confided in his grandmother, Barbara Evans, detailing abuse at the hands of step-dad, David. A police report bears the weight of Barbara’s words, depicting the anguish of a grandmother restrained by legality, unable to rush to her grandson’s side due to looming “legal and custody issues.”

Barbara’s future custody of Jace is not certain, whether it may manifest as a temporary refuge or a stable, legal guardianship. Traces of Barbara’s recent presence at a North Carolina hospital paint a tableau of shifting circumstances since the tumultuous events.

Jenelle, in a storm of tweets unleashed on Monday, navigated through a sea of accusations and despair. She defended the sanctuary of her household, challenging the veracity of Barbara’s claims and affirming her unwavering priority: “My children are always first…that’s why they are still in my custody,” Jenelle proclaimed.

In the shadows of uncertainty and conflict, Jenelle wrestles with feelings of betrayal and confusion, lamenting the storm that seems to engulf familial bonds. “I’m so confused at this moment and wish I had one parent that was stable enough to talk to. #ToxicParents,” she tweeted.

Jenelle and David are reportedly under investigation by CPS concerning the welfare of their other children as well, including Kaiser Orion Griffith, 9, and Ensley Jolie Eason, 6, along with David’s thirteen-year-old daughter, Maryssa Eason.
