Tori Spelling Ex Dean McDermott Hits Rock Bottom…Goes On WELFARE!
Dean McDermott was seen hand-in-hand with an unidentified woman amid his ongoing marital drama with Tori Spelling.
The 56-year-old was spotted wearing a black t-shirt and ripped jeans as he entered the West Valley Department of Social Services, on October 10, per a report by the Daily Mail.
McDermott was reading paperwork while walking alongside a mystery woman, who was sporting a green jumpsuit. The pair stood close together in the line and was photographed speaking to another man.
In June, McDermott posted, and later deleted, a statement announcing his breakup from Spelling, on Instagram.
“It’s with great sadness and a very very heavy heart that after 18 years together and 5 amazing children, that @torispelling and I have decided to go our separate ways and start a new journey of our own,” McDermott wrote on June 17. “We will continue to work together as loving parents and guide and love our children through this difficult time. We ask that you all respect our privacy as we take this time to surround our family with love and work our way through this. Thank you all for your support and kindness. 🙏.”
A source told Us Weekly at the time that the couple was “not getting a divorce” despite McDermott’s statement. Spelling has yet to comment on her husband’s post.
“They’ve had their ups and downs like any couple, but [they] have continued working on their marriage through couple’s counseling,” the source said. “Friends suspect that Dean posted that because he and Tori may have gotten into a big blowout fight. … He obviously regretted it, so he deleted the post.”
McDermott was spotted only days later, without his wedding ring, moving boxes into a storage unit. Spelling was seen in public wearing a yellow sweatshirt printed with the phrase “What the actual f**k is going on” that same week.
McDermott and Spelling wed in 2006 and went on to welcome four children, Liam, 16, Stella, 15, Hattie, 11, and 10-year-old Finn. In December 2013, McDermott was reportedly caught in an affair. The aftermath was chronicled in 2014 reality series, “True Tori.” The couple’s fifth child, Beau, now 6, was born after the couple moved past the affair.
McDermott also shares a son, Jack, 24, with his ex-wife, Mary Jo Eustace.
In late June, the Daily Mail reported that McDermott believed that “nothing he ever does will be good enough” for the “Beverly Hills 90201” star, according to a mutual friend.
“Dean has changed and worked very hard to be the husband she needed him to be but she is still demanding and entitled. Nothing he does or has done will ever be good enough for her,” the tipster told the outlet.
The couple’s rollercoaster relationship and marital ups and downs have made headlines over the years, a dynamic that had been difficult for McDermott, according the the source.
“For a very long time, Tori used their marital problems to stay relevant,” a mutual friend of the duo told the outlet.
The insider added at the time — “Everyone knew about their issues, and she didn’t play it down, she played it — even going so far [as] to go outside where she knew paparazzi were waiting holding papers that were a clear indication of divorce.”
