‘Sister Wives’ Christine Brown’s Daughter Gwendlyn Skipped Her Wedding and She’s Devastated!

Christine Brown tied the knot with David Woolley earlier this month, but one of the Sister Wives star’s children was nowhere to be seen. Gwendlyn Brown did not attend the celebration, despite the fact that all of her biological and many of her half-siblings were present for the event.

 

Gwen’s sister, Mykelti Padron, addressed why Gwen chose to skip the festivities during a recent Q&A session on Patreon. Mykelti, who fielded fan questions alongside her hubby, Tony Padron, confirmed that Gwen was a no-show. She went on to explain that she had no idea why her sister chose to skip their mother’s big day. 

“I honestly don’t know. I don’t know. Gwendlyn didn’t tell me why she wasn’t there,” Mykelti revealed. “When she didn’t show up it was kind of a shock to me. I didn’t know that she wasn’t going to be there. That’s a her [question].”

Mykelti admitted that Gwen’s absence was hard on her mother.  

Mykelti said — “I think it’s tragic and sad for my mom. I don’t know the reasons why. There could have been an emergency. There could have been nothing, who knows? I don’t. But it is sad.”

Tony chimed in, agreeing — “Your mom’s definitely sad about it.”

A fan asked Mykelti if Gwen was “jealous” of her mother’s high profile ceremony, and the mom of three stated—”Not at all.” 

“Gwendlyn didn’t want her wedding on the show or publicized in any way like that,” Mykelti claimed. “I think that they only reason why they wanted to film Gwendlyn’s engagement party was because David and my dad would meet, so I think that was rude of them because that should have been more about Gwendlyn. But I don’t think that she’s upset that mom got more attention because Gwendlyn didn’t want that.” 

Christine and Kody’s children, Aspyn, 28, Paedon, 25, Mykelti 27, Ysabel, 20, and 13-year-old Truely, all attended the wedding bash.  

Meri Brown’s only child, Leon Brown, formerly Mariah, was also spotted in the crowd of guests, although Meri did not attend. Janelle’s six biological children, Garrison, Gabriel, Logan, Hunter, Madison Brush, and Savanah, were all in attendance.  

Gwen shared her support for her mother’s new relationship back in April, shortly before the couple announced their engagement. 

“Yeah, I do like my mom’s boyfriend. I think he’s a lot of fun,” Gwen said during an Instagram Live. “He and Truely get along really well, which is what I was most concerned about.”

Last month, Gwen indicated that she was on board with the union when she posted a carousel of photos that featured herself alongside some of her siblings mixed with some of David’s kids, captioning the post — “Sisters 👯‍♀️.”

David, a widower, has eight children, Adam, Colton, Garrett, Kati, Dallas, Raegan, Payton, and Maddox.

In July, Gwen wed her girlfriend, Beatriz Queiroz. Christine attended the event with her then-fiancé, as did Kody with his one remaining wife, Robyn Brown. 

Christine has yet to address her daughter’s absence, but will likely do so when the wedding is featured on a future episode of “Sister Wives” or a potential TLC spinoff.
