Jax Taylor Causes Inflight Emergency On JetBlue Flight from JFK to LAX, Plane Returned to Gate
A flight from New York to Los Angeles had to turn back on the runway due to an issue involving Vanderpump Rules star, Jax Taylor, resulting in a significant delay and pissed passengers off.
“The plane ended up being two-and-a-half hours late since they were already on the runway, and it was raining,” the irritated passenger told Page Six, adding that on-board chatter indicated that Jax was upset because his seat wouldn’t recline.
However, Jax’s representative clarified to the outlet that the reality star wasn’t displaying attitude; rather, a malfunctioning seat was the culprit.
“The plane did not come back [to the gate] due to any uproar,” said the rep. “His seat was in the bed position in first class, and the plane is unable to take off if it is not upright. He was not able to sit in that seat. It was not working. It was not his fault that the seat wouldn’t move from the bed position.”
Regardless of the reason, the delay wreaked havoc for international passengers on that flight. Many found themselves rushing and stressed as they tried to catch their connecting flights on time.
“Our source disclosed, “About 13 travelers heading to places like Singapore and China were in a race against time. They literally had around an hour to disembark and dash to another terminal before the gates shut.”
Passengers were left in the dark about the reason for the delay. The informant mentioned:
“There was a general sense of unease and curiosity. When we eventually returned to the gate, people were more irked and chattering than outright angry.”
In a twist that could’ve been straight out of his Bravo series, Jax, 44, found himself seemingly caught in the crossfire of blame.
An irritated traveler took to Twitter, stating about the disruption, “Turns out it was some D-list reality TV person.”
Following this, several internet users jumped in with their own two cents, further fueling the fire.
Sources informed us that Jax was comfortably seated in JetBlue Mint, an exclusive section which, as described by the airline, boasts a “fully lie-flat seat built with Tuft & Needle’s T&N Adaptive® Foam cushions, accompanied by a memory foam pillow and a personalized blanket.”
Before the flight incident, the reality star was in the Big Apple, hosting the grand opening of a chic new speakeasy and dining spot in Long Island City named the Newsroom.
Fans can catch him next on E!’s “House of Villains”, which premieres on October 12.
In a 2018 incident, Jax was accompanying his soon-to-be wife, Brittany Cartwright, on a Delta flight. During their journey, Cartwright claimed that another passenger had maliciously placed gum in her hair.
JetBlue has yet to provide a comment on the matter.
