‘Wild ‘N Out’ Star Jacky Oh Died From Plastic Surgery Complications
Jacky Oh, beloved star of Wild ‘N Out, tragically passed away due to complications arising from a plastic surgery procedure.
Jacky Oh’s cause of death has been confirmed. A Miami-Dade Medical Examiner’s Office rep told People that the 32-year-old “Wild ’N Out” star died of complications from cosmetic surgery.
TMZ was the first to report the MTV personality’s cause of death.
Jacky Oh, whose birth name was Jacklyn Smith, passed away on May 31.
A BET Media Group spokesperson told People at the time — “We are deeply saddened by the passing of Jacklyn Smith, known to the world as Jacky Oh, a talented “Wild ‘N Out” family member whose impact will be forever treasured and missed.”
The statement continued — “Jacky Oh was a loving friend and beloved colleague of the “Wild ‘N Out” cast throughout five seasons. More importantly, she was a tremendous mother to three beautiful children.”
“The BET Media Group extends our sincere condolences to the Smith family, DC Young Fly, B Simone, Nick Cannon, and all friends who loved and cared for Jacky Oh during this difficult time.”
Jacky’s longtime boyfriend, DC Young Fly, shared a heartfelt tribute in his partner’s honor, at the time. The couple met in 2015 and shared three children together, Nova, Nala and Prince.
He said in a statement — “We thank everyone for their well wishes and ask for privacy during this difficult time.”
DC Young Fly was filming “Wild ‘N Out” in Alabama when he was notified of Jacky’s death, per a TMZ report.
Odell Beckham Jr. shared a statement about Jacky’s passing on his Instagram Story.
“It is with [sad] hearts we share with you that Jacklyn aka MsJackyOh has passed away on Wednesday, May 31st 2023,” the Baltimore Ravens wide receiver wrote. “Our family is still processing this very tragic and unexpected loss; we ask that you please give us privacy during this time. Rest Easy Angel.”
The outlet obtained a police report that revealed that cops were “dispatched … in reference to an unresponsive female.” She was transported to Mercy Hospital where she later died “despite resuscitative efforts.”
The mom of three was a “Wild ’N Out” cast member for five seasons. She began appearing on the show in 2014 for Season 6. Other onscreen credits include her roles on “Marc + Jenni,” “Shift Drinks” and “The Worst Couple.”
Jacky launched a lip gloss line and sold real estate after exiting the MTV series.
