Sunny Hostin Unveils Unexpected Career Change Outside of ‘The View’

Sunny Hostin revealed her dream job aside from her role on The View during a Thursday appearance on “The View: Behind the Table” podcast.

The panelist and executive producer, Brian Teta, sat down to discuss some of the topics recently featured on the chat show. Brian brought up Sunny’s admitted obsession with British reality show, “Naked Attraction.” The dating game show involves participants stripping down to be matched to potential love connections. The London based show is marketed as a social experiment inspired by the concept that individuals choose partners based on outward appearances.

Sunny had previously expressed fascination with the show, so Brian pressed her to consider serving as a potential judge. Sunny pointed out that no judges are involved on the show, which is hosted by Anna Richardson. She did admit that she’d be all for taking part in a potential American version of the series.

“I feel like I could host that show, the American version,” Sunny revealed. “I’m gonna pitch that somewhere.”

Whoopi Goldberg

Last month, Sunny, who co-hosts The View alongside Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro and Alyssa Farrah Griffin, revealed that the women weren’t always on the same page despite their onscreen camaraderie.

Sunny dished during the September 12 podcast episode that the panel had struggled to agree on the Hot Topics subjects ahead of the live show.

“It was awful,” Sunny told Brian. “None of us agreed on what the lead should be, and ultimately, we usually do agree on the lead.”

She added — “And we agree on the pop culture that we may discuss, but I think everyone sort of left unhappy with where we came down, which doesn’t always happen.”

Sunny explained that she “hated everything” during the segment and described the pre-show prep as “chaotic.”

Prior to the revealing podcast, Sunny shared her true feelings about her fellow panelists during an appearance on Good Morning America.

Sunny and Ana spoke about what was to come on the show’s new season in an interview with GMA’s Lindsey Davis.

Sunny gushed — “It’s the ladies. There are five of us. We love each other. Despite what you may hear, we get along, even though we’re very different in many respects.”

Joy Behar

In July, Sunny raised eyebrows after weighing in on Wimbledon champion, Carlos Alcaraz.

Whoopi Goldberg launched the discussion during a Hot Topics segment, but it wasn’t long before Ana Navarro chimed in her own thoughts on the handsome pro athlete.

“Wait a minute. Did you see the 20-year-old, fine-as-hell Spaniard who won? Carlos Alcaraz?” she asked the ladies.

Sunny was surprised to learn of Alcaraz’s age, as she believed that the rising tennis star was closer to 30 years old.

“Is he only 20? Because I started googling him immediately. And then felt guilty because I have a son the same age,” she admitted.

Goldberg reminded Sunny — who shares two kids with her husband of more than twenty years—“And a husband who’s a little older than him.”
