Shannon Beador Going to Rehab and Reconnects With Ex John Janssen After DUI Arrest!

Real Housewives of Orange County’s Shannon Beador was seen with her former beau, John Janssen, for the initial time after her arrest for DUI and hit-and-run on Saturday, September 16.

Shannon Beador, 59, was spotted entering her Orange County, California residence on Tuesday, September 19, with John Janssen seen opening the door for her in images captured by the Daily Mail.

Days earlier, TMZ had reported that Shannon Beador had driven onto private property in Newport Beach, inadvertently hitting a house while driving recklessly. Following the incident, she is said to have parked her car haphazardly in the street and alighted with her dog, seemingly trying to give the impression she was just out for a dog walk when the police turned up.

According to Newport Beach PD that Shannon’s vehicle was impounded as they investigated the damage to the Newport Beach residence. The Bravo star was subsequently cited and released.

Despite the tumultous following her arrest, Shannon appears to have her ex-boyfriend, John, standing by her side. The past year has been rocky for the two; Shannon announced their breakup in January, following the conclusion of RHOC’s 17th season, which aired in June.

“All I can do is repeat in my head what he said to me while we were filming. We were in a great place. But seven days later, when the cameras were down, it was a completely different story,“ she expressed her surprise back then, noting that she felt “blindsided” by John’s choice to conclude their relationship.

Even after their tough breakup, Shannon stood up for John recently when her fellow cast member, Taylor Armstrong, claimed that John had body-shamed her while they were dating. The accusations surfaced during the September 13 episode of RHOC.

“When we would wake up in the morning, he’d say, ‘Why you got to be so pretty?’ That was his little thing,” Shannon exclusively told Us. “He never fat-shamed me or criticized my appearance at all. And that’s hurtful because I don’t want him to have that bad cloud over him, and it’s hard for him.”

She further stated that the multitude of accusations her fellow cast members have leveled against John, whom she began dating in 2019, are unfounded.

“There are issues with him breaking up with me, and I think people will be upset about that, but he didn’t say or do a lot of the things that have been alleged by my cast members,” she said.

A local resident, living near the site of the hit-and-run incident, exclusively told Us on Tuesday that John resides just a few houses away from where the mishap occurred. There’s further speculation as some neighbors claimed to have overheard the duo having a heated exchange on the night of the accident.

Shannon has remained silent on the arrest matter, but her legal representative, Michael Fell, provided an official statement to Us on Monday, September 18. “I spent quite a bit of time with Shannon yesterday. She is extremely apologetic and remorseful,” Fell told Us. “We will be awaiting the official information on this case as it becomes available, and Shannon is prepared to accept full responsibility for her actions.”

On the same day, Shannon’s good friend, Jeff Lewis, echoed a similar sentiment on his Sirius XM program “Jeff Lewis Live,” mentioning that Shannon feels “deeply embarrassed” by her actions.

Lewis, at 53, further shared that Shannon is “gonna be entering counseling this week.” However, he expressed his belief that she isn’t battling an alcohol addiction.

“As her close friend, I think she’s going through a lot of personal struggles right now, and I think that she probably has been leaning on alcohol, but I don’t believe she’s an alcoholic,” he said.

Just days prior to her arrest, Shannon spoke up about her alcohol consumption. Addressing the issue, she told Us exclusively, “Let’s examine some other cast members this season who’ve been indulging quite a bit.” This was in response to her costar Gina Kerschenheiter, who labeled her drinking habits as “a problem” in an exclusive conversation with Us earlier in the month.

Earlier, Shannon had expressed her displeasure when Tamra Judge labeled her as a “drunk” during a June episode of RHOC.

“It’s hard. I know that that’s not who I am,” she told Us after the episode aired. “My kids watched the episode with me and they were pretty upset about it. They’re like, ‘Mom, that’s not who you are.’”

Shannon co-parents Sophie, 21, and 18-year-old twins Stella and Adeline with her former husband, David Beador.
