‘RHOC’ Veteran Kelly Dodd Accuses Tamra Judge of Failing to Support Shannon Beador Post-DUI Arrest
Kelly Dodd has weighed in on former Real Housewives of Orange County co-star, Shannon Beador’s recent DUI arrest, and claimed that not all of her friends have been supportive.
“I have to say, Vicki Gunvalson is a very good friend at this time to her,” Kelly said during Tuesday’s episode of her “Daily Smash” YouTube show.
Kelly, 47, pointedly added — “Tamra [Judge], not so much.”
Kelly dished that Vicki, 61, had plans to connect with Shannon over a meal in the near future, adding that she herself had dropped off stuffed peppers and a lasagna in a show of support for her former cast mate.
“It’s just heartbreaking,” Kelly added, clarifying that while she didn’t “condone” Shannon’s actions, she still believed that she deserved “grace at this time.”
Kelly did not offer additional details as to why she believed that Tamra, 56, had not come through for the mom of three.
Shannon was arrested Saturday after she plowed into a Newport Beach, California home while intoxicated, then fled the scene. She went on to strangely park her car in the middle of the street before getting out to walk her dog, as police arrived. She was booked on two misdemeanors, DUI alcohol and hit-and-run. Her car was later seized as part of the police investigation.
Shannon’s lawyer released a statement on Monday which read — “I spent quite a bit of time with Shannon yesterday. She is extremely apologetic and remorseful. We will be awaiting the official information on this case as it becomes available, and Shannon is prepared to accept full responsibility for her actions.”
Shannon has yet to speak out about the arrest, but on Monday, Tamra revealed that she was “shaking” after she heard about the scary incident.
“Every cast member is sending me text messages. I don’t even know if it’s true,” Tamra said during Monday’s episode of her “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast, which she co-hosts with Teddi Mellencamp.
Tamra shared that she spoke with Shannon on Sunday, the day after the accident.
“I feel like I’m going to throw up,” the “Real Housewives of Orange County” star said on Monday.
“At first, I didn’t think it was true,” she continued. “I talked to Shannon yesterday, she didn’t say a word to me — nothing.”
Tamra Judge recalled that Shannon was notably “silent,” in a conference call for their project, “Tres Amigas,” which includes co-star, Vicki Gunvalson.
“She said, ‘It’s been a rough couple of days,’ and that’s all she told me,” Tamra said of her embattled co-star. “All I’m seeing is what’s in the press. I’m shook.”
“This is life-changing,” she added. “I feel bad for her, and I’m just happy nobody got hurt.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County airs on Wednesdays, at 8 pm ET, on Bravo.
